Chapter 7: Red Paint

"Amazing" We replied,

"Where was it you went again?"

"We spent 3 months touring Australia" I said,

"Oh wow, whereabouts did you go?"

"We did the main cities, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth" Tayte said,

"I bet that was exciting"

"It was great, relaxing too"

"Where did you go after that?"

"South Africa, to stay with a family friend for 2 months, she lives in Johannesburg, but we also went to Cape Town and Durban and had a good look around Soweto"

"Oh I love South Africa, did you go on a safari?"

"We did exactly that"

"Keane got all excited when we saw an elephant right up close" I smiled,

"It was then a 2 week break in Dubai"

"More family friends, we didn't really venture much, just relaxed and went out for dinner and a few shopping trips"

"We then headed back to the USA"

"You came back here and didn't pop in?" Piper said, coming to join us sat down, handing over our drinks,

"We were only in Cali a month, apologies, we barely spent any time at home" I said,

"I'm teasing" she replied,

"We then travelled around the rest of America for 3 months"

"Oh what parts? Did you pass through most states like road trip or did you fly?"

"We did a bit of both really, wanting to hit the biggest cities, so we did New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Detroit, Boston, Seattle, DC and Las Vegas"

"You'd need years to see all of America and its beauty" Piper said, "Where did you go next?"

"Across the border into Canada for a month"

"We visited Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal and Ottawa"

"I've never been to Canada, but I must say it's a place I'd love to go"

"We recommend it, it's such a beautiful country"

"I'll keep hinting to Rory" She said, we laughed,

"Barbados was out next stop and I wish we were still there now, led on the beach in the sun in all its beauty and quietness. I'd like to retire there" I said,

"Sounds like a plan to me" Tayte said,

"Oh Barbados, we went to the capital St Michael" Piper said,

"That's where we were based, but did go and see Speightstown and Oistins"

"But spent the majority of the time, eating fresh seafood platters and drinking beer on the beach," Piper laughed,

"I can see why you wish you were still there"

"It was something special, is all I'll say" Tayte squeezed my knee,

"We'll go back one day"

"Our final stop was a 2 week stint in Brazil, we spent a week in Sao Paolo and then a week in Rio with friends"

"I am jealous" Piper said, we laughed,

"I'm sure you've travelled to many places" We said,

"That is true"
