Nandini's pov-

The continuous beeping noice awoke me from my slumber.It was irritating and was giving me a headche.I tried opening my eyes bt it seemed like a herculean task as it drained me off my energy.
Finally after trying a few times I was successful.But what I saw confused me a lot with white walls all around,a continous beeping going on.This was not my room bt then where the hell am I.And then like a cold water ,everything came back rushing to me.The karva chauth,everyone was dancing,my phone call,nd then manik pushing me over.As I recalled all this,my heart skipped a beat-Manik..
Where was manik,Was he ok,was he injured?I need to see him..I tried getting up from my bed but it seems my body wasnt supporting me as even lifting my arm was radiating the pain to my body.But manik was my priority nd with this determination I tried again.This time I was able to lift myself off the bed.I tried standing on my feet,which were shaking like a leaf.After a few seconds I took a step and then another nd with a speed of snail I started walking towards the door.
I was about to open the door when it opened from the other side and a huge gentleman wearing a lapcoat nd with a stethoscope entered in nd was followed by mom and cabir.
Nyonika:nandini!!thank god tumhe hosh aa gya bt tum khadi kyu ho gai and where were u going?
Before I could reply,she continued:get back to bed.Let dr see you.
Cabir lifted me up and settled me on the bed and then the doctor began his examination.I was least concerned about it and the only thought running in my mind was about what exactly had happened and where was manik.
After a long 15 mins the dr completed his examination and said:maam ur reports are normal.There is nothing to worry about.There is a minor concussion on ur head bt It will heal with time .Ur body will be sour for a few days bt pain killers nd rest is all u need.
Cabir:when will she be discharge?
Dr:tomorrow.

And then he left the room.I immediately started bombarding my questions on mom and cabir:mom,manik kaha hai.Woh theek toh hai na?kya hua tha function mai.mjhe kuch samajh ni aara.

I noticed mom nd cabirs faces going pale nd my heart started beating fast.Now I was scared.Something was wrong:mom!bataiye na.kaha hai manik.Plz,mjhe darr lag rha hai.
I was beginning to get hysterical so cabir held my hand nd tried calming me down.
Cabir:hey hey..Relax nandu.Bhai is fine.Woh theek hai.Tum tension mat lo.
Nandini:toh woh kaha hai cabir.Mjhe sach sach btao kya hua tha uss din.
Cabir sighed and started telling me exactly what happened:pta ni bhabhi.We all were dancing bt suddenly bhai started panicking nd began searching for you.We all dnt know what happened bt we heard a loud sound from the hall nd immediately rushed towards it.What we saw horrified us all as apparently the chandlier had fallen down nd bhai had managed to push u out in a nick of time.Thank god he was able to save u both bt as he was above u he recieved a few more injuries.
We all were shocked and immediately rushed u both to the hospital.So bhai is also admitted here.U have been out for 24hrs.
I was shocked.My heart was palpating.Manik!!!I had to see him now.It was all my fault.He got injured saving me.
Nandini:cabir plz mjhe manik ke pass le chalo.Mjhe manik ke pass jana hai.Mjhe unhe dekhna hai.Bs ek baar.Plz

Cabir:nandini abhi bhai ko hosh nahi aaya hai nd no one is allowed to meet him till then.Dr ne kaha hai aaj sham tak hosh aa jana chahiye so tb tak aap bhi rest karo.

After making sure that nandini was resting,cabir came out of the room and with a sigh settled down on a chair.Multiple thoughts were running in his head.How did the chandlier fall,what if manik hadnt been able to push nandini.His head started aching thinking about the days event and he grabbed his head in his hands,when he felt someone sitting besides him.He felt a familiar touch on his arm.
He looked up to see navya gazing at him in concern.
Navya:kya hua cabir.Aap itne pareshan kyu lag rahe ho.
Then almost panicking:nandu,jiju theek toh hai na?kya kaha doctor ne?
Cabir :nandini ko hosh aagya hai.Badi muskil se convince kia hai rest karne ke liye.Bhai ko abhi hosh nai aaya hai.Dr ne bola hai k hosh aane k baad hi exact situation pta lagegi.

Navya:it seems like god is testing their love.Jbse shaadi hui hai,koi na koi pareshani rahi hai.Pehle woh accident,phir buaji aur ab yeh.Bs I pray k dono jaldi theek hojae aur aage koi problms na aae.
Cabir:mjhe joh baat khatak rahi hai woh yeh hai k aakhir chandlier gir kaise gya.Jb yeh lga tha toh maine khud personally sb check kia tha.Aur abhi din hi kitne hue hai.Bhai ki shaadi k time hi tig lga tha.The best things were used to support it.I just cant believe it.Mjhe kuch gadbad lag ri hai.
Navya:U smell some foul play?
Cabir:I dnt know yaar bt kuch toh gadbad hai.Bt saval yeh hai agar kisi ne janbhuj ke kia hai toh kisne.U would want to hurt nandini.
Then he immediately gets up and calls someone.
Cabir:aaj sham tk kaam ho jana chahiye.Meet me in my office.
Navya:mai bhi chalungi sath mai.

Srry guys..its a small filler chapter.Really busy with studies bt paka next one will be a long one aur haa jaldi update karungi.
