Chapter 9
Passing period later that day
Jacob 🙊: hey, you never texted back?
Me: oh yeah, sorry I didn't want my phone taken
Jacob 🙊: oh it's cool. Btw you should look up.
I look up as I'm told to. I see Jacob standing in front of me with a smirk on his face.
"Oh hey" I say
"Your pretty good at texting in class without getting caught" he tells me
"Umm.. Yeah I guess.." Thinking to myself only because nobody notices me
"So what are you doing after school?" He asks
"Uhh.. I don't think I'm doing anything besides studying for this math test. Why what were you thinking?" I ask
"Uh. Well I was thinking we could study together if your up for that?" He asks me with a smile.
"Umm.. Well I study better alone. Thank you offering." I say
I walk away before he could say anything more. I felt sorta bad about turning him down. It didn't really sound like we were going to be studying that much anyway, what if he made a move on me.. I had never even kissed a boy little less hung out with one. Well that's because I'm invisible to most people. Maybe, I shouldn't have turned him down. I decide to just send him a short text explaining why I turned him down. I pull up my phone messages. & type the name Jacob in
To Jacob 🙊:
Hey sorry I turned you down I'm sorta feelings sick in my stomach as well. Maybe some other time?
I get a reply instantly saying
"Yeah sure no problem."That makes me feel a little bit better about my decision. Since it's the end of the day & I'm in my last class for the day. I gather up my things just before the bell rings to go home. I'm thrilled that the days over with.
