Chapter 2: The slip-up

Winter's POV

I put the drinks down on the table. "I like your bracelet." Demi said. I looked down at my lovatic bracelet and my mouth dropped. I was standing in front of Demi fucking Lovato and I didn't even realize it. My brain must've not processed it or something. I feel like an idiot for not knowing! She's like my hero and I didn't even recognize her. I'm so stupid! "Oh yeah, I'm a big fan." I said

"Aw thanks! Here." Demi said as she pulled out a piece of paper from her bag and wrote something on it. She handed it to me, it was an autograph.

"Thank you so much!" I said excitedly.

"No problem!" Demi said with a big smile. I was looking at the autograph as I walked back to the register. I accidentally bumped into one of my co workers who was carrying a tray of drinks. They spilled all over the floor. "I'm so sorry!" I said as I grabbed some napkins to help clean up the mess. My boss came out. Oh no, he's going to be so mad at me! I kneeled down next to the puddle of coffee and started wipeing it up. "What the hell?!" He yelled.

"I'm sorry, I accidentally bumped into him."

"You klutz!" He yelled as he pushed me over.

"Hey!" Demi yelled as she stood up. "You can't treat her like that!"

"I can do whatever I want! I'm her boss!"

"You can't yell and push her!"

"Demi it's fine." I said as I stood up.

"No it's not! He can't treat you like that."

"You're right." My boss said. "Winter, you're fired!" My mouth dropped and my eyes got watery. I ran out of the shop. Demi ran after me. "Winter! Winter, I'm sorry!" She yelled. I ignored her and got in my car. I drove home and ran inside. My parents were at work so I was home alone. I went upstairs into my room. I can't believe I just lost my job, I needed that money. A few hours later, I heard a knock on the door. I went downstairs and opened it, Demi was standing there. "What do you want?" I asked.
