Lana's PoV

I watched as Dumbledore looked at Mrs. Norris. Flitch was wailing like a baby, and Lockhart, he kept saying stupid things, he is DEFINITELY NOT RELATED TO ATHENA!

"She's not dead," I said and everyone turned to stare at me.

"What do you mean, not dead?" Flitch studdered.

I pinched the bridge of my nose, "So, not dead, it basically means that it's not dead, as in still alive," I said.

"I think, that Argus means is, what do you think happened?" Dumbledore said.

"Well, I think that this cat has been petrified, oh wait, scratch that, I KNOW that the cats been petrified," I said, "But, I don't know how,"

"How do you know this?" Flitch shrieked.

"You want your cat back or not?" I challenged.

He quickly shut up.

"He did it, ask him!" He screeched pointing at Harry.

"It's very advanced dark magic, no second year could have done this," I said rolling my eyes.

"He did it, he did it!" Flitch said his face purpling and looking like a little kid having a tantrum, "You saw the message in the wall! He found in my office! He knows I'm a, he knows I'm a, he knows I'm a squib!"

"I never touched Mrs. Norris! I don't even know what a Squib is!" Harry said loudly.

"If I may speak Headmaster," Snape said, "I believe that Potter, Granger, and Weasley were just in the wrong place, at the wrong time. But we do have a suspicious set of circumstances here. Why was he in the upstairs corridor at all? Why wasn't he at the feast?"

"Wait wait, hold on a second, what about me?" I asked.

"What about you?" He asked me.

"Um, I was there too, don't I get a share of the blame?" I asked.

"No," He said.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because unlike the others, you have a brain," He said giving me a warning look, ohhhhh.

They launched into an explanation of the Death Day Party and I shivered at the mention at it, it was so cold.

"But why not go to the Feast afterwards?" He asked.

Blah blah blah, it was boring, they are terrible liars and remind me of Apollo, oh, Lockhart the idiot is going to say something, this should be interesting.

"I'll make it, I've must've done it a hundred times, I could whip up a Mandrake restoration drought in mysel so," He said.

"Excuse me, but I believe that I am the Potions Master at this school," Snape said icily.

I mentally cheered in my head for Snape while an awkward pause was happening.

"Now, Mr. Potter, Mr. Weasley, and Mrs. Granger, you may go," Dumbledore said.

"But, what about Lana?" Hermione said.

"We just want to have a few words with her, make sure she's doing okay in this school," Minne told her.

They nodded and Dumbledore, Snape, Minnie, and I walked over to Dumbledore's office, where the other Heads of houses were.

"I thought you were here to protect Mr. Potter," Snape began immediately. "Not have him do whatever!"

"So you do care about him," I sang.

"That's not the point,"He said icily.

"Well, I am here to protect Harry, but I also need to let him learn this stuff by himself. If I protect him the whole way, then if I'm not there when the real battle comes, he won't know how to protect himself," I said smoothly and he sneered at me.

So I did the only mature thing, I sneered right back.

"That is a good point," Minnie told me.

"I know what I'm doing, I'm not going to let him die, I promise," I said.

"What if he does die?" Snape asked me coldly.

"There is no way in Hades that that will happen," I said, "He will have near death incidents, but he won't die,"

"Okay, you can go now, thank you," Dumbledore told me wearily.

I nodded and rushed out of the room. I rushed back to the common room and my friends were waiting for me.

"So, how was it?" Hermione asked me.

"It was fine, we just talked about how I was doing here," I said shrugging.

The next few days were really bad, everyone kept talking about the attacks, and Filch made sure that it was fresh in everyone's minds. Ginny was very upset with the attack, and Ron said it was because she was a great cat lover. He tried to make her feel better, but it never worked. Hermione also spent like, EVERY SECOND OF THE DAY READING!!!! I stayed after with Harry to help him clean up in Potions, sticking my tongue out at Snape before going to the library with Harry to meet Ron.

"Harry, I think that I'm just going to go to my room, Books don't really, work for me, I don't like them," I said.

He nodded and I ran over into my room. After that I met up with my friends in HoM. Professor Binns was SO BORING I ended up playing games, sleeping, or talking, so something, just NEVER paying attention. Except for today. Hermione got him to tell the legend again, but after that, we all didn't pay attention. Hermione is like the only one who can resist his droning tone and stay awake. After that, they started talking about the founders and I was glancing around. Was Medusa back? Was she here? Or was it something else? I could be a basilisk couldn't it? Or some monster. Then I noticed that we were poking around and looking at something. I saw spiders trying to get through a small crack. I wondered if they sensed a Son or Daughter nearby, or Athena herself.

"Stop it," I whispered to myself, "It's different here, its different,"

"I don't like spiders," I heard Ron say.

I looked over at him and gave him a small smile.

"Don't worry, one of my friends is deathly afraid of spiders too, and she's one of the toughest girls I know," I told him.

Ron told us why he didn't like spiders and I felt a twinge of sympathy for him, but I had to congratulate Fred and George on the achievement. We visited Myrtle and after that, Percy Weasley caught us and yelled at Ron. Poor Ron.
