Jericho

I traveled to one edge of the earth and then back,

Only to find it pointless without you.

We lock hands to push over houses,

Kicking away the dead life.

The cavity that society bore,

Uprooted by our boots.

With each timber we exclaim,

The darkness is cast out.

Expelling all the insects,

Freeing all the birds,

Silencing the cries muffled behind the windows.

With trumpets in our step,

Walls crumble like Jericho.
