The trip to the beach house only took about half hour, it wasn't far from Maryland at all. Only another fifteen minutes and we would have been in Maryland. My family owned the beach house, they figured that me and my friends needed somewhere to go during the summer when we were younger.

That was what started a yearly tradition where two weeks of the summer holidays we all came out here and just had fun in the sun and sand. It was where Trevor and Shauna had gotten together, where I learned that Clayton liked me, and where we all bonded as friends.

"Wow so many memories." Shauna says as we are standing out front just taking in our surroundings.

"Some good and some bad but all of them worth remembering. Its hard to believe things have changed so much in such a short period of time." Clayton smiles sadly as he picks up as many bags as he can and starts heading towards the door.

I give Shauna a moment to reflect upon things and head to open the door for Clayton. We all head inside in silence, each of us lost in our own memories of this place.

"So straight to the beach then?" Shauna breaks out of her memories, shaking Clayton and I out of ours.

"I'm in, just going to change." Before waiting a reply I took off to the back of the house and straight into my room. I had just bought a bright yellow bikini and I couldn't wait to try it out.

Everyone changed and grabbed towels and we were all running out the back door within minutes of each other. I was the last one out, Clayton had just picked Shauna up over his shoulder and ran full speed into the water.

Shauna's screams could be heard from the house, I giggled as I slowly walked towards their stuff on the sand and dropped of my towel.

"The water is cold you doofus!" Shauna screamed at Clayton as he tried to run away from her after he dumped her in the water. I grinned as I quietly chanted a simple water spell knocking Clayton off his feet as he desperately tries to get out of range of Shauna splashing him.

His head goes under and I have successively dunked Clayton, Shauna is cheering when he emerges back to the top.

"Cheater!" he hollered out at Shauna, "You used magic you sneaky witch." oh the irony in his statement.

"Your wrong," I called out as I entered the water without hesitation at the coldness. "I am that sneaky witch who dunked you. Call it retribution for carrying Shauna in and dunking her. She is the sissy that can't handle cold water and that was mean of you." I was grinning like the Cheshire cat the whole time I was talking.

"Ha sisters stick together! Eat that Clayton!" Shauna held up her hand to high five me. He pretended to pout and crossed his arms.

"You girls are so mean, ganging up on me like that." I grinned and winked at Shauna and she nodded her head, we both grinned and suddenly attacked Clayton together.

Shauna jumped onto one side and I jumped onto the other, Clayton seemed to be expecting it as his arms snaked around both of our waists and he stood to his full height picking us both up out of the water.

Both Shauna and I squeal as Clayton walks with both of us on his arms, he heads deeper into the water then jumps backwards with us, taking all three of us under water. I swam away from him under water for a little way then broke through the surface giggling.

I didn't make it far before Shauna had wrapped her arms around me and jumped on my back yelling MUSH like I was some kind of sled dog.

That night we decided to have a beach fire, the three of us roasted hot dogs, marshmallows and made smores. I pulled out my guitar at the begging of Clayton and Shauna, and sang some songs, and we all just goofed off and ate junk. There was no alcohol involved which made the night that much more fun.

All week we just goofed off, had fun, we talked and bonded even more. Even Trevor showed up on Wednesday and our group spent some much needed bonding time. We mended our wounds, and everything was as good as it could be between everyone.

By Friday we were all excited and worked up in regards to my ascending party that night. We had gone swimming in the morning, packed up and showered before leaving. Stopped at a near by cafe for lunch and made it home to the Coven by two that afternoon.

Everyone went their separate ways so I headed home to my apartment. When I arrived there was a delivery driver knocking on my door.

"Excuse me sir, I am Lauren Brazen, the person who lives here. How can I help you?" I ask politely as I pull my keys from my pocket.

"Ah yes Miss Brazen I have a few packages for you today, can you please sign here and I will bring them up?" I take the pen and scribble my name, the young man disappears back down stairs after handing me the small card he was carrying.

My name was neatly written in cursive writing, looking elegant scrolled across the envelope. I carefully opened it as I took my bag into the laundry room and just dropping it on the floor. I pull out the card that is shaped like a vaas with a dozen roses, open it up and inside is a poem.

I read the poem and immediately start to tear up, its from Beau. It is a love poem about cotton candy and taped into the card were two concert tickets to go see the Road hammers live in concert. I was so happy, I forgot about the delivery guy coming back until he knocked on the partially open door.
