EIGHTEENTH STRUGGLE: I Love Malaysia

"Here," Inabot sa akin ni Liam ang mga nireseta niyang gamot. He bought it already since I can't possibly do the job, and I don't want Theo to know what kind of medicine I'm taking and worry him more. "Don't you dare forget to take those." Bilin niya. Today is the day that I'll be discharge from the freaking hospital. Theo just went to the bathroom so Liam took the chance to give me my medicines.

"Opo." Sagot ko.

"I'm serious."

"And so am I, so quit acting like my mother. I'll be fine." Geez, ang hirap pakalmahin ng isang 'to. Minsan akala mo siya pa ang may sakit kung mag-alala eh.

We didn't talked much about the crying segment yesterday, or rather, we're just avoiding the issue dahil lalo lang nakaka-depress.

Maya-maya dumating na din si Theo kaya itinago ko na ang mga gamot ko. "You guys done?" Tanong niya.

"Yeah, sort of." Sagot ni Liam.

Okay, these guys are acting weird since yesterday. Since when did they became friendly? They're not calling each other 'stupid' now, and I can't sense any irritation in their voices whenever they speak with each other. May nangyari ba sa kanila na hindi ko alam?

Ugh, thinking about what possibly happened between them gives me creeps.

"Let's go?" Bumalik ako sa realidad nang kinausap ako ni Theo. Wala sa sarili na tumango ako at kinuha ang bag ko.

Nagpaalam pa ulit ako kay Liam saka kami dumeretso ni Theo sa parking lot. Sumakay kami sa kotse saka umalis ng ospital.

"So, where do you wanna go?" Tanong ni Theo habang nagmamaneho.

"Uh, i-ikaw bahala." Utal kong sagot. Ano ba 'yan Sincerity umayos ka nga! Kinikilig ka na naman dahil lang sa kinausap ka niya! Wag kang pabebe!

"Okay, then." He replied. Uhm, 'yun lang? Okay lang talaga ang sagot niya?

Nabalot ng katahimikan ang buong biyahe. Gusto kong malaman kung anong iniisip niya ngayon para man lang may mapag-usapan kami pero nahihiya ako. Hindi ko kayang magtanong, baka mamaya masabihan pa ako na wala akong pake, magmumukha pa akong pake-alamera.

Maya-maya, hindi ko mapigilan ang mapanganga nang makarating na kami sa destinasyon namin.

Petronas Tower!

Of course I shouldn't be that surprised because, hello? We're in Malaysia, natural nasa tabi lang ang Petronas, but it's Theo that we're talking about here! He has zero common sense about what a girl likes. And I bet he picked this just because it's in the top tourist spot and not because I wanted to come here. Yeah, probably like that.

Pinarada namin ang kotse at pagkababa ko doon, I can't help myself to take a picture of the tower and syempre, pasimpleng selfie na din. Theo did the same though. Pagkatapos kong mag-picture nang mag-picture, pumasok na kami sa loob ng Suria KLCC. It's a mall which is in the middle of the Petronas Tower, and we're now inside of it, and as expected, it's full of expensive shops and all brands are top class.

Unlike in the Philippines though, malls here, at least the ones we went to, have no restaurants. The only eating place here is the food court, but sure, the food court still have some expensive stalls.

Kumain kami sa isang sushi stall dahil alam niyo na, hindi nga kaya ni Theo ang lasa ng Indian foods, Japanese food lang ang hindi pa nababahiran ng mga Indiano dito kaya 'yun lang ang kakainan namin dito.
