It pained her mother to see Arabella try so hard to come to terms with the situation and accept it and to witness her daughter attempt to hide her emotions regarding the last few months.

Especially the confusion of Arabella struggling to find a place to belong and to deal with the constant frustration of knowing her life had been taken away. Arabella did a fantastic good hiding her emotions from her family, most of the time they didn't know how she was doing.

The truth be told she didn't even know the meaning of emotions anymore. In fact she didn't even understand it anymore.

Arabella was tough and everyone knew, she could fight and defend herself as well as her pack. But being what she was, was apparently unapproved of in their world, she assumed.

Alex could not help but to take in Arabella's beauty. As she laughed, he looked at her shoulder length hair; dark brown at the roots and a beautiful shade of blonde coming toward the end that flowed in seemingly endless waves which moved slightly up and down as she cracked up at his jokes. She had let her guard down, something she hadn't done in a long time.

Her dark brown hair contrasted with her ivory, smooth, mellow skin which made her looked pale all the more.

And her pink supple lips which was pulled back as she laughed and exposed her pearly immaculate teeth forming the most gorgeous smile that he had ever seen.

But what had really captured Alex's attention was Arabella's exquisite grey eyes which pooled with happiness as she smiled. And her lengthy thick luscious eyelashes which gracefully fluttered against her velvety cheeks.

When a small tear escaped Arabella's right eye as her laughter died down, Alex could not help but to tenderly wipe the tear away from her cheeks with his thumb gently.

Arabella was stunned at his bold move but did not want to ruin the cheerful atmosphere and quickly recovered and hid her emotions as well as ignore the intimate gesture that Alex openly displayed.

Noticing the tense environment, Alex quickly spoke up "So when's dinner? I'm starving." A grin spread wide across his face.

Arabella led him to the dining room where they talked about their past but the room remained tension filled after the stunt Alex pulled earlier.

Before dinner began, Ara noticed her mother and Alex had been glancing at each other ever so often before her mother give a curt nod to Alex.

"Filia, we need to talk to you." Her mother said carefully as she knew she was treading on unsteady grounds.

"Go on mother." Arabella said suddenly aware off her mother's serious manner.

"We know you have been having a hard time here and..." Her Mother trailed off looking at her husband for support.

"We want you to go live in a new pack to start a new life." Her father smiled at her in reassurance.

To Arabella this idea didn't sound like a terrible one. She could be someone new there and maybe even be with someone.

Her mother looked at Arabella's pondering face as she waited for a reply.

"Do you really think this is a good idea though?" she asked thoughtfully.

Her mother's face lighting up she quickly replied, "Yes a better start of your choice. And a house will be provided as well and you could always come visit anytime."

'And you would have a better chance at finding you mate too.' She quickly continued as she privately communicated through Arabella's mind.

"Yes, but which pack?" Ara said as her mood pleasantly rose.

"Well I've wanted to tell you sooner but I am going to be Beta in a few days, so I wanted you to join mine." Alex said to her slowly.

Her eyebrow's quickly furrowed as she cautiously replied, "Which pack are you from again?" a lump forming in her throat hoping she would not hear what she did not want to.

"I'm...well I'm from Grey's pack." Alex said waiting for Arabella's reaction as he was fully aware of her dilemma.

"You're from there?" she said quietly and then cleared her throat. The entire room quiet as they awaited her reaction.

"Well I don't think he would want me there anyway." She said going back to hiding her emotions in her well barricaded prison where not a single shred could escape.

"Yes he will allow it with your skills. And he probably won't remember who you are." Alex said trying to cheer her up.

Her eyes widened alittle as she processed his statement.

How could the King not remember her, he had ruined her life. Would he not remember her?

Hatred was the only prominent thing she felt at the moment.

As she swallowed her emotions she replied with a steely edge in her voice, "Then I guess it's settled; I'm moving to Grey's Pack."
