Imagine Klaus finding out that you can draw and dragging you away from the usual Mystic Falls drama to look at his paintings with him

You sat in the grass, sketching the tree in front of you. It was a terrible drawing in your opinion, you were rushing and that was evident in the rough imprecise lines that formed a tree on the page in front of you. You tossed to the sketch pad to your side and lied down enjoying the warmth of the sun on your face, shutting your eyes with a pleased hum. Usually you would be more wary of the dangers of Mystic Falls seeing as the human population seemed to have dropped to just Matt. However you were a vampire in a public area and god knows there were enough people who would come after you if anything happened. Klaus Mikaelson, being one of them or so he had claimed. Then again he'd claimed his every living breath was consumed with thoughts of you so perhaps the notion of protecting you was just another poetic string of words without meaning.

"Did you draw these, love?" His voice sent shivers up your spine. You didn't open your eyes, not wanting to see the amusement on his face as he flipped through your drawings. He'd been alive to see all the greatest artists first hands, your half-hearted doodles could hardly measure up to that. Finally you have him a small nod to answer his question. "You're quite the artist love... Is this me?"

You stood up snatching your book from his hands and stuffing it back in your bag. He made no attempt to stop you, only raising your eyebrow. "What do you want Klaus?" You asked harsher than you'd hoped.

Klaus chuckled, holding his hand out for you. "Come with me." You huffed, shaking your head. "Please? I want to show you something."

You sighed in surrender and placed your hand softly in his. Klaus bent slightly, quite literally sweeping you off your feet and into his arms bridle style. You laughed despite yourself, knowing the correct response should have been outrage.

"Close your eyes." Klaus said softly and you did as he said. You felt a rush of air and knew that Klaus was using his vampire speed to get you to whatever it was that he wanted to show you. You felt your feet touch the frown but Klaus' warm chest stayed pressed against your back as you opened your eyes.

You were surrounded by paintings. An easel in the centre of the room, proudly presented a nighttime landscape still unfinished. You couldn't help but admire the artists skill, they were beautiful.

"You painted these?" You asked softly, for once consciously letting your guard fall around the hybrid. "They're beautiful." You added and couldn't help but feel ecstatic at the wide smile that spread across Klaus' face at your words.

You continued looking around the room, appreciating each painting. You frowned as you realised your bag was no longer hanging from your shoulder and turned around to try and find it. Klaus dangled the bag from his hand with a smirk, your sketchbook in his other hand. Your stomach dropped, since Klaus had arrived in town you'd been a little... Obsessive. You may have drawn him a couple of times... Okay more than a couple.

"Oh now these are lovely. I'm flattered." He said teasingly, holding one of the portraits up for you to see. This particular one happened to feature Klaus' bare shoulders. "Though I must ask when on earth did you see that tattoo." He finished and you backed up afraid that his good humour was all a rouse.

"I uh- after you became the hybrid... When you turned human again- I was on a morning jog and I ran intoElijahandyouwerentexactly... Wearing clothes. Can we not talk about this?"

"Actually I find this topic quite fascinating love but if you insist." Klaus said, taking a seat on the bed opposite you.

"Have you ever drawn me?" You blurted out without thinking. Well actually you were thinking quite a lot, about how there was a sketch of Caroline on the ground over there and he'd painted Elena, well the doppelgänger several times over the century and you couldn't help but feel a teensy tiny bit rejected.

"Are you jealous?" He asked you catching your eye on the sketch of Caroline.

"No." You glared at him. "It was a question."

"You're jealous." Klaus smirked mostly to himself. He actually hadn't believed that you returned his affections until today.

"Maybe." You said blushing profusely. Klaus stood up turning to pick up something from within a set of drawers. He pulled out a sketchbook similar to yours and a pencil, placing them on the bed. "Don't draw me now, it doesn't mean anything if I ask."

"While I would love to have you pose on my bed." Klaus paused watching as your face lit up scarlet and smiling to himself, he loved the effect he had on you. "I meant for you to look through the book love."

You opened it, flicking through the pages. One after another, page after page, were drawings of you. Some of them were only rough sketches, others were almost lifelike in their detail. You couldn't hide the smile on your face nor the blush at the thought that he'd drawn these all from memory. Suddenly Klaus was directly in front of you, taking the book from your hands and placing it down beside you.

"Y/N, I don't know how many times I have to tell you this before you believe me but I'll say it a million times if I have to. You are my muse. You are the reason I am still in Mystic Falls after everything that has happened here. You are the one that consumes my every waking thought and I will wait another thousand years for you if I must."

And then despite every inch of your body screaming at you not to, you kissed him.

Another one finished! Let me know what you thought of this one, I thought it was cute though it wasn't what I had originally planned. Vote, comment, etc!
