"So your a nurse?" Wanda nods at my question while she stirs the coffee I so kindly bought her

"How long have you been a nurse?"
I ask another question, Wanda bites her lower lip while her eyes fall to the window beside our booth

"13 something years-, that's a while. I never even thought about it" She chuckles, I hear traces of nervousness in her laugh

"So if you met my mother when you where 22 that makes you 35?" I lean in, she looks younger then she is, but her eyes are old. Probably From all the late nights at the hospital

"Oh jeez don't remind me" Wanda takes a sip of her coffee, holding the mug with both hands like a child or old granny.

"Can I ask you again why your where at my house during the fire,?" I ask

"Well when I heard the hale house was on fire I had to check it out" she admits, tapping her glass

"But enough about me, I wanna know about you- last I saw you, you where wee high" she puts her hand low, showing how tall I used to be.

I don't answer and it's silent for a moment, the silence takes over Intel the coffee shops surroundings start filling my ears again.

"Wanda.."

"Yeah der?"

"What was she like? My mother I mean.."

"Just like you" Wanda gives me a warm genuine smile, I feel her hand gently fall onto mine. I lift my view from the table and up to her eyes.

Taking a deep breath while clearly my throat I nonchalantly pull my hand away from hers and place it on my lap

"So how's the coffee?"
I takes a sip of mine, wincing as the taste of sugar reaches my tongue- I said black coffee! And that dumb brad gave me sugar..

"What's with all these questions Derek, it's like your investigating me"
Her shoulders lift and lower while she chuckles- almost spilling her coffee.

"I just wanna know everything I guess"
Rubbing my neck and catch a glimpse of her eyes, red. For only a moment- an illusion? Probably...

Stiles pov

Still No visits from Derek.. I mean I don't want him to visit me.. But the gesture would be nice.

My bottom lip sticks out and droops down, tapping my glass of water while trying to ignore the last bruises that haven't healed yet. Even after a week since I got them- the doctors said the bruises where caused when I had my seizer and fell onto the floor, if you ask me, there's to many bruises that could just be caused my 'falling down'

"Stiles, is something wrong?" My father leans in, the hospital chair creaks while his weight is pressed to the front of it.

My father hasn't left my side at all, he's called in to work everyday to tell them he's not coming. He looks sicker then me at this point, from barely drinking or eating or even walking.

"Nothing's wrong dad I'm perfectly fine, that's why I'm still in a hospital"
Oh jeez that was kinda harsh..
I didn't mean to be, it's this dumb hospital- it's bumming me out

"Sorry dad I didn't mean.. Ahg- can you please go"
I stare at him, my lip still dropping down, my eyes large and glossed over

"What? No, I can't leave yo-"

"Yes you can, you can leave me! Dad I'm in a hospital probably one of the safest places, and I just need you to leave so you can get better, eat drink run, go to work! please" I trail off, trying to convince my dad will be hard and-

"Fine"

"Please dad just g- wait what"

"Fine I'll go, your right, your safe here." My dad stands up, his back cracking in a bunch of places- his low groan fills the cramped room. He swings his sweater around his arm then heads for the door

"Well alright.."
I smile, a bit pleased with myself

"I'll be back" my dad turns and shoots one last smile before leaving, making the room completely silent besides the sound of the machines I'm attached too.
