Molly Weasley still continued to knit sweaters with an "F" on it for Fred, even after he died. One day, when she was knitting his sweater, the ghost of a snowy white owl flew in through the open window, dropped a letter on Molly's lap, and flew back out. Molly curiously opened the letter, and tears fell on Fred's unfinished sweater.
The letter said:
Dear Molly,
I'm looking after Fred the way you looked after my son Harry.
