♕ Chapter Eleven ♕ - Sheepboy.

Start from the beginning

I scratch my neck, making it look awkward to talk about it. "So I walked up to her with the coffee, hers in my right hand and mine in my left. I was a little...uhm, awkward when I walked up to you, wasn't I babe?" I sa, raising my brow at her.

She was stunned. It showed by the way she just stared at me without blinking. It was cute.

"I...uh...yeah." She says in a low voice, her eyes boring into me. It felt like she was reading me. Reading my soul. The real me. Trying to get through my barrier.

I look away, irritated that she even thought she could read me. I won't let her get so close to me.

"Yeah, he was the most awkward guy I've ever talked to." Her voice was lacing with humour.

I furrow my brows, confused. Why did I get the feeling the next thing she was about to say would be bad?

"Oh," She puts her finger on her chin, fake thinking. "I remember you also spilled the hot coffee on me."

My mouth falls open and she smirks. What game is she playing!?

Rose let out a gasp, "He did what?!" She turns to look at me and glared. "You spilled the coffee on her, Lucas?"

"What? No, I-" Riley cuts me off.

"Yeah, I don't know how he managed to do it but he did. He was so awkward yet, so cute." She laughs but stops when she realises what she had just said and looks at me with wide brown eyes.

I smirked. She just called me cute. That's cute.

I'm getting closer and closer to having her wrapped around my finger. This just shows that she's falling in love with me. Slowly but hard. Day by day.

Watch out, Matthews. This pig hides a dark side and you are about to see it.

I cleared my throat, loudly so everyones eyes was on me, their attention in the palm of my hand. I send a smirk in Riley's direction and a genuie smile towards Rose. Zay had his hands covering his face, knowing that it was payback for Riley's little story.

"You know, she's absolutely right. I was this awkward, cute guy giving a hot drink to a stunning girl." I turned my eyes to meet Rileys shocked ones. It's not over yet, princess. Just wait and see.

I shrugged, "Even if that cold of hers was a little. . .too much? When I handed her the coffee and she sneezed in my face, I knew she had a fever growing." I gave her a smug smile. "Cute, isn't it?"

She was shocked. Yet she looked ready to strangle me for backfiring her little plan of evil. She should be aware that two can play this game.

Rose cooed, her gaze switching from me to Riley every second.

"You two are just adorable! Aren't they, Zay?" She looks at him with pure happiness.

Zay removes his hands from his face and looks at his mother. He couldn't help but let out a sigh and smile at his mothers look on her face. It's been a while since we saw her this happy. Poor woman. She has a pure soul and a heart of gold and I feel awful for doing this to her, pretend to be dating Riley.

But I want to see that pure smile of happiness spread on her face. It isn't everyday you see that, especially when her husband fights for our country. A great man with a pure heart and soul, just like his wife.

She was too scared to think about what could happen to him, fighting for his country, saving millions of lives. But all she wanted was to save his. Have her husband, soulmate back in the house, safetly. No scratces.

"Yeah mom, the cutest." Zay says, his voice light and smooth, like he meant it.

He can't mean it. I'm sure it's just an act. I mean, Zay is my bet friend and he has always got my back.
