Captain Canary: Saved by the cold

The news

"Your what?" Mick asked

"Pregnant" Sara replied

"I...I'm so happy for you, both of you!" Mick said, he hugged Snart and Sara again

"I'm going to get into the car, I need to sit down! I'll meet you there!" Sara said, she started to walk away

"Mick, what's wrong?" Snart asked Mick

"It's just that... I didn't expect you to want a baby!" Mick said

"Well to be honest Mick, I didn't want to but when Sara came through to speak to me and she told me she was pregnant with my baby, a smile grew across her face and then I realised that maybe I want to be father!" Snart said

"Oh" Mick said

"Hey but your going to be the baby's Uncle Mick!" Snart said, a smile grew across Mick's face

"I'm going to be an uncle!" He said with joy in his voice

A couple of minutes later Mick dropped them off at their house and walked with them to the front door, Mick opened it for them and everybody was in there including Quentin, Rip, Kendra, Ray, Jax, Martin and many others

"SURPRISE!" They called out

"What's going on?" Sara asked

"Mick called us and told us that you were going to become parents so we thought we'd throw you two a party!" Rip said, Quentin walked up to Sara and wrapped his hands around her

"I'm going to be a grandpa!" He said, tears forming in his eyes

"Yes you are dad!" She said

During the party everybody was congratulating Snart and Sara and catching up on what life was like after the Waverider

~Four months later~

Sara's baby bump was starting show and she was starting to have to wear maternity clothes

One morning Sara was standing on the balcony outside their bedroom, Snart walked up behind her and he wrapped his hands around her stomach

"Your starting to grow now!" He whispered

"I know, I'm really happy that I'm with you Snart and I know your going to be a great dad!" She replied

"Back in Paris, you said when your baby bump starts to show we'll talk about names, so I thought maybe we can talk about names today!" He said

"Ok, so I thought if it's a girl we could name the baby Laurel in memory of my sister and if it's a boy I was thinking maybe Michael because I like the name!" Sara said

"I like it, so we are either going to have baby Laurel Snart or baby Michael Snart!" He said

"Yeah, I love you Snart!" She said leaning over to kiss him

Someone starts knocking on the door, Snart goes to answer and he sees Rip standing outside, Snart opens the door

"Hello Mr Snart I've got something for Mrs Snart!" Rip said

"Please call us Leonard and Sara, it really creeps me out otherwise" Snart said as he took the package

"Can I come in?" He asked

"Of course," Snart said "SARA! RIP'S HERE!" He yelled up the stairs

Sara started walking downstairs and Snart helped her with the last couple of steps

"Wow Sara, your starting to grow!" He said to her

"Aw thanks Rip!" She replied, she sat down on the sofa next to Snart and Rip, Snart gave her the package to open

"What's this?" Sara asked

"Well Miranda had bought this for Jonas when he was born and I thought you might like it!" He said

Sara opened the package to find a small pair of blue shoes

"Aw they're so cute!" Sara said

"It reminds me of the cold! They're amazing!" Snart said

"I'm glad you like them!" Rip said "I was wondering, you probably won't have room but do you think I can live with you guys for a little while?" He asked

Sara looked at Snart and he nodded "For as long as you want Rip, whether it's a couple of weeks or several years!"

"Thank you both so much!" He said as he stood up and hugged them both

The next week Rip was still sleeping on their sofa and Sara's baby bump was growing bigger. Monday morning at 9am they heard a knock at the door and Sara went to answer it because Snart was getting ready. It was Kendra

"Hey you guys!" Sara said surprised

"Hey, wow how long until your due date girl?" Kendra asked

"5 months!" Sara said

"I bet you can't wait to hold your baby for the first time!" Kendra said

"Yeah it's gonna be weird telling the baby in years to come 'I held your dad when he was first born!'!" They both laughed "Come on in!" Sara said

She took a seat on the chair next to Sara

"I bet your going to be the best auntie in the world!" Sara said, Kendra looked at her in shock

"I'm going to be an auntie?!" She said

"Yeah of course, you didn't think that you weren't going to be an auntie did you!" Sara said

"I just didn't really think about it!" Kendra said, they both laughed

Snart walked into the room in a suit and tie

"What's the occasion Snart?" Kendra asked

"Well me, Rip, Mick, Jax, Martin and Ray are going to a party!" He said

"Oooh fancy!" Sara joked

"Come on Sara, if you put on a fancy dress and meet me here in 20 mins I've got a surprise for you!" Kendra said
