~ A week later ~

"Ray look at me, I know you feel guilty about everything that's happened first with Carter and then him dying and then reincarnating, but Ray I love you and I always will baby"

"Kendra, I know you love me and I love you too but you've got to look at the odds, I mean you and Carter have spent lifetimes together and we have only spent several weeks together"

"What are you saying Ray?"

"I'm saying be with Carter your only true love... It's like what the you that you met in the old west said if your with anyone other than Carter it only ends in heartbreak or tragedy... I'm sorry" Ray said walking away from Kendra

*Back with the rest of the team*

" Ah Mr Palmer, Miss Saunders you've finally decided to join us" Rip said

"Yeah it's about time you were here" Mick said

"Now, we have got a VERY important mission ahead of us, it's one of the last chances we have to get Savage for good, Mr Palmer you will be with Miss Saunders and Mr Snart you will be with Miss Lance... Oh and this will be a formal dance so dress up please!"

"Yo Rip, what about You, Me, Mick and Gray over here?" Jax said

"Now Mr Jefferson, we will be near the dance ready to get Savage when he least expects us!"

~At the Dance~

*Sara is dancing with Snart*

"I must say Snart your pretty good at dancing, why don't you do it more often?"

"Because I was always told if you dance you show weakness but now I'm dancing with you I realise I was wrong!"

Snart started to move around the dance hall dipping Sara and spinning her round. There eyes never stopped looking at each other

"Snart?"

"Yes?"

"You look really handsome tonight"

"You look beautiful Sara, your eyes are more blue than ice and you know I like the cold!"

Sara blushed she had never been told she looked beautiful before and she never thought she would be told by Snart either!

Suddenly the music stopped and everybody was told to leave the dance floor, Sara sat next to Snart and she rested her hand on the table, Snart slowly placed his hand on top of hers and they started deeply into each other's eyes

"Sara follow me" Snart whispered

"But what about the mission" Sara replied

"The others are here right? Now come on"

Snart led Sara out of the hall into a corridor and then into their hotel room, she wondered what was going to happen but she had an idea.

Snart locked the door behind Sara, they both kicked off their shoes on the plush carpet and he grabbed her waist from behind, she turned to look at him, her eyes were focused on his and his eyes were focused on hers but for a brief second they looked at her lips.

~Back at the dance~

"Kendra...Where's Snart and Sara?" Ray asked

"I don't know but don't worry they should be back soon just remain focused Ray"

"Yo Kendra we've got eyes on Savage"

"He's just entering the hall, stay alert"

"Thanks Martian, thanks Jax we will"

*Vandal enters*

"Your time is up!"

"No, it's not" shouted Kendra

*The other team members (other than Sara and Snart) enter the hall and start fighting*

"Your time is up Kendra, you know I loved you back in the temple of Horus"

"Yeah well I never loved you!"

*Vandal shoots Kendra and she falls to the floor, Vandal walks away laughing to himself*

"Kendra!" Ray shouts running over to her " What I said earlier I didn't mean please, still marry me!"

"Of course I will Ray I love you and I finally got to choose my own destiny but please take me to the med bay"

"Oh right sorry"
