Chapter Fourteen

We go into yet another store, we've been here for an hour and a half, Sarah and Cindy keep dragging us from store to store and they don't even come out with anything for most of them. Steve and I sit sighing loudly as they go into a fitting room

"Stop whining, we'll go get lunch after this" Cindy says then they disappear
"Bro, why did we accept this. This is fucking torture" Steve says

"Oh well, deal with it" I say, then a door opens and I look up to see Sarah step out in a beautiful flower print dress then Cindy steps out as well and they both look at themselves in front of the huge mirror

"You're drooling" Steve says, I instantly reach up to my mouth but feel it dry. I punch him making him laugh
"What do you guys think?" Cindy asks as they turn to face us
"You girls look great" Steve says
"Beautiful" I say looking straight at Sarah, she blushes

"Okay lovebirds you're making me sick" Cindy says
"I'm with you" Steve says, I roll my eyes
"Get the dress Sarah, you look stunning" I say, she smiles
"Thank you, I will" She says then they both go back to change

"I'll go order, what do you guys want?" Sarah asks
"The usual" Cindy says
"A burger, no cheese, and a coke" Steve says
"I'll go with you" I say and we walk to the back of the line, which isn't very long

"Is this really all girls do?" I ask, she giggles
"Yeah, and no. We talk about boys and to boys as well but you guys are here so we took that off the list" She says, I growl low enough so only she could hear, she giggles
"Kidding" She says looking up at me, I shake my head

"You're going to be a pain aren't you" I say, she smirks shrugging
"Maybe" She says then we're next and we order then wait nearby for our number to be called
"So as part fairy, what else can you do? Besides the feeling peoples emotions and healing them" I say

"I've been trying to cast spells, some basic stuff but I haven't been successful on that" She says
"You'll get the hang of it" I say, she shrugs
"I hope, that way I have another way to beat the crap out of my father" She says

"Wait, you plan on killing him?" I ask, she shrugs then looks up at me
"If it comes to that, I'll have no choice. I won't let him get what he wants, I won't let him hurt anyone I care about" She says, I kiss her forehead pulling her to me in a hug
"God, I'm so thankful to have you as my mate" I say, she giggles then we're next to order

Two days later

Sarah and I have gotten closer these past two days, we told everyone the news of us being mates and everyone was happy. I'm happy. Our mate bond has brought us closer, it's getting stronger and stronger as the days pass.

Today is the start of mating season, it goes for a whole month for all the mateless wolves but once you find your mate heat starts three days after accepting them.

Levi has been real jumpy since last night though, he is on guard more now than ever but won't tell me what he feels coming.

Steve and I have been training the warriors nonstop, I feel like they're ready now. They are much stronger, faster and have a clearer mind now than when we got here.

"Mason, I feel darkness nearing" Levi says, I furrow my brows blocking out the conversation happening between my mate, Steve, and the rest.
"What do you feel exactly?" I ask
"Death..dark magic. I think Sarahs father is going to attack soon, real soon" He says, I mentally curse
"Son of a bitch isn't as stupid as we thought. He is going to attack soon because he knows that it's mating season that the she wolves will be in heat and the males will want to stay with their mates. He knows that we'd all get distracted and he knows that Sarah will be more than everyone" I tell him then I'm snapped back to reality by my mate

"Mason, what's wrong?" She asks looking me straight in the eyes, I can't lie to her. She'll feel me lying, she'll know so I'll just be honest
"Levi has been jumpy and on guard a lot recently. He just told me he feels dark magic and death, he feels darkness is nearing. He says he thinks your father is going to attack soon" I say

"Fuck, it's like what happened to your mom. That bastard attacked them around this time as well, for the same reason Sarahs father must be thinking" Steve says
"We'll all be distracted" Cindy says
"Fuck, we have to talk to our parents, they dealt with this. They could help us come up with a plan" Sarah says, I nod

"Meeting!" I mindlink my parents and Uncles while Sarah mindlinks her dad.
