A/N --- Ok so here is the revised version of chapter2. Let me know what you think :)

                                                          Owen

Damn that girl has got me all screwed up. I am soaking wet running in the rain. Who in their right mind chooses to go for a run when they know it is going to rain? Me, of course. I just had to see her; it has been fourteen years since I last saw those beautiful green eyes, and that smile… it makes my heart speed up every time she looks at me. She’s right; it has been about ten years since I last spoke to her on the phone.

She is still as beautiful and sexy as I last remember her. Her dark brown hair is a little longer now but not too long though. It falls just below her shoulders with a few stray strands that frame her face. She has curves that drive me wild, and I would love to trace my hands all over them.

The rain continues to fall lightly on my shoulders as I make my way down the street. My apartment building is not too far from her house. I found out the hard way, while I was gone, that living in a big city is not for me.  I continue to run down the street towards my apartment building while I replay the scene over and over in my mind. I would love to see the look on her face right now… I managed to make a call to Harry before the rain completely ruined my phone. I should know by now that water and cell phones do not mix well.

I bet she is rolling her eyes right about now, but she has to know I would do anything for her. Although I would have loved to keep imagining her soaking wet with her blouse clinging to her full breast, I figured I should be a good guy and help her out so she didn’t freeze to death.

About ten minutes later, I finally reach my apartment door. OK, time to hit the shower. I need to go out to the farm yet so I should probably just wait on that shower. I grab a dry pair of jeans and a t-shirt out of my closet and throw them on. I hope mom has some dinner made because I’m starving. Dancing has sure worked up an appetite.

I glance at the picture of me and Katie from our senior year that sits on my dresser. Mom had taken the picture without either of us knowing. I sat against the big oak tree in the back yard of their house. Katie sat between my knees with her back against my chest. I had my arms wrapped around her as her hands held onto mine. Things were much simpler back then. I carried that picture everywhere I went. Every time I would open my book to study, the picture would be there as a book mark.

The neighbor yelling at her dog snaps me back to reality.

I grab my keys then proceed out the door towards my black dodge pickup that sits in the parking lot. I still need to go get a new phone first before I drive out to Dad’s, and he has probably already called about a hundred times wondering where I am. I climb in then drive across town towards the store.

I pull into the packed parking lot looking for the first available space. I bet this is going to take forever. At least the rain has stopped for the time being. I briskly walk across the lot and through the entrance, heading straight to the back where the electronics department is.

“Well if it isn’t Owen Matthews” I turn to hear a familiar voice.

Standing behind the counter is a petite blonde in a flowered sundress. Her hair lies in perfect ringlets over her left shoulder with a blue bow holding them in place. Her blue eyes smile constantly and I can’t remember ever seeing them look any different. Abby is the type of person who would befriend the meanest kid in school because she thought she could make a difference. This woman does not have a mean bone in her body.
