Q: tell us a little about yourself.
A: Hey, my name is Clare, I come from London and I study
design at university. I also work part time as a waitress
doing events for premieres, royalty and just general rich
people! I like to read romance and philosophical books and I
watch mostly world cinema films - my favourites are sin
nombre and amelie.
Q: how did you discover wattpad?
A: I discovered it on my app store when I was looking for
something to read.
Q: what are some of the books you write?
A: 'I'm a slave for you' is currently my most popular but
others are 'Chasing dreams', 'Broken angel' and 'gang wars'.
None of them are finished yet which is pretty bad but I will
finish them when I get a minute!
Q: what inspired you to start writing?
A: I've actually been writing stories since I was
little - just making up plots and writing them down. So it
was kind of a natural transition for me.
Q: what are your favourite (top 3) wattpad books?
A: My favourite was 'You took it all away' but sadly
she has stopped writing! I also like the Bahelor and the
Replacement Girlfriend and 'The road travelled'. Change my
favourites all the tome thoug
Q: what do you think of the whats hot list?
A: That's a good question... To be honest, I have a few
problems with it... I think a lot of the stories are quite
badly written and the plots tend to be a bit boring in my
mind. I also think that a lot of the popularity goes to the
writers' heads and they begin to act superior and not reply
to questions or emails. I'm a bit rubbish at that but I do
get round to it. I also think readers can start to get rude
and put pressure on the writers. I think people just need to
not take themselves too seriously!
Q: does music help your writing in any way?
A: Yeah I think subconsiously. I listen to a lot of folk and
I think it reflects in some of my stories. I also hear a song
I love and sometimes do a chapter that fits around it.
Q: have you inspired any of your friends to get
wattpad?
A: To be honest, no. I am slightly embarrassed of my writing
because I think its easier for younger people but when you
get to my age, writing romances is not really something to be
proud of. I feel bad saying it but I just like to keep my two
worlds seperate.
Q: do you have anything you want to say to your fans?
A: I just want to say thanks and I mean that a lot. You
inspire me in a lot of things I do and you always leave
helpful and kind comments. I'm sorry I haven't updated hardly
at all recently but once I get the hang of typing on this
phone and managing uni, updates will be more frequent. Thanks
again!
