Frightening beast, temperamental soul
you etch your way inside me and steal every speckle of light.
Arching back, fingertips clawing at the sheets
midnight's dreaming come in haunted sleep.
I watch you as your body trembles, as your breath will hitch
and I offer you midnight promises I shall surely break.
Phantom emotions, so easily confused.
Nocturnal beast, night-time melody.
Sing, sing to me upon the notes,
I shall reach out and pull them to me.
Feral romance, a fragrant memory
lost, lingering, never sated.
I beckon you over from the whorls of your mind
and lead you into the darkest corner I have to offer.
Stay...stay with me.
Tempest love, terrible ache,
I break...oh God, how I break...
