forgotten

Oceans spread out before me, the horizon looks beyond me, its back turned to my pain.

sunsets are no longer perfect, there's no more magic in the storm.

turbulence, vertigo, a vermillion taste in my mouth.

you left me here waiting, growing older yet not wiser.

you left me here forgotten, and I wait, and I wait as roots take hold and I have no more strength to leave.
