"Alright guys I'm just gonna read these names off the list and make sure everyone's here for group today." Dr. Klein adjusts his glasses before taking a look at the list. "Celina Romano?" Celina raises her hand slightly and the doctor checks off her name. "John Jungkuk?" Celina didn't recognize that name but it was obviously foreign and said incorrectly. The quiet boy raises his hand and nods, not bothering to correct the doctor. "Kim Namjoon?" A tall boy with blonde hair and glasses glances up and raises his hand. These people must have just joined. After the roll call ended, Dr. Klein started the session.

"So I see some new faces, just letting everyone know you're not required to speak and encouraged to listen in. This is a no judgement zone, please refrain from interrupting others and no matter your struggle, you made it here today ready to listen, you're taking the first and best step to recovery." He takes a seat in the circle and glances around the room. "Anyone?" The room was silent until Jungkook raises his hand. "Jungkuk, welcome in would you like to share a bit about yourself?"
" Yes, and it's Jung-kook...I'm 27 and I'm from Korea, my family and I moved just 3 years ago..and I guess I'm here for the same reason everyone else is."
"Would you like to go deeper in that?"
" Um..I'm not very comfortable talking about it..it's just gotten too much, my own girlfriend thinks I have a problem, we haven't been together for months."
"That's understandable. This is a new environment I can empathize with the nervousness, would you feel more comfortable in a private session with em after group?" Dr. Klein asks and Jungkook silently nods his head and looks at the floor.

After an hour of participants sharing stories and their current struggle, the session was over. "I will see everyone in two days, remember you're always welcome to my office anytime and if you're comfortable try to find support in each other. A long journey is best with friends." He smiles and dismisses everyone. Dr. Klein takes a seat next to Jungkook.

Celina raises from her seat and goes to stand by the window. Her group friend Gracie joins her. "God if I wasn't in recovery I'd be all over that Jungkook boy." She starts. "He's cute but we're here for a reason." Celina sing songs as she turns facing Gracie. "Yes I know I know, how are you holding up?"
" Things are annoying at home, really triggered to go drink and make bad decisions."
"Celina you know you can call me anytime, I know we just talk in group but we can sponsor each other."
" I really appreciate it but I guess I'm still getting used to all of this I've only been here a week."
" Yeah it takes some getting used to, I got med call but if you need me you have my number." Gracie gives a reassuring rub on the shoulder before she exits the room.
  Celina looks over at the tall boy with glasses scanning through addiction pamphlets on the coffee table. 'Namjoon was his name right?' Celina thinks to herself as she observes the new comer from afar. With a face and body like that no wonder he's here. Celina shook the creeping thoughts in her head and took out her phone to text her boyfriend.

'Hey where are you?'

'Tired of crazy town already? don't worry I'm 5 minutes away'

'You know I hate when you call it that it's not making me feel any better'

'Don't be a baby I'm on the way'

Gaslighting at its finest. 'If I loved myself more maybe I'd leave..' Celina thinks to herself as she takes a seat waiting for her boyfriend to arrive for his visit.
