As Kirstin and Jeremy's story continued, Mitch got to know Scott better and better.
Because, after all, Scott was getting ditched a lot more often.
Kirstin and Jeremy were now a happy couple, and were doing great, except with the family rivalries getting in the way. But they didn't know about that yet.
But, what Mitch didn't know, was what he couldn't remember. Until tonight, that is.
"So, how does the book end?" Scott asked.
Mitch froze. He remembered it was bad, that's for sure.
He wanted to tell Scott. He really did.
But he couldn't remember.
"Hello? Earth to Mitch." Scott snapped his fingers in front of Mitch's face. "C'mon. It's wine night. Don't stress if I'm not allowed to know about it."
"No, you can know about it, I just can't remember it." Mitch flipped through the pages in his book.
But all of them were empty.
