So Blaze here! I wanted to share the story of what happened this morning.
My parents own a summer house in Long Island, and on that summer house we have about 20 chickens. We typically go out every weekend to fool around away from the city.
So I wake up this morning pretty early to help my dad with the pool and as we're standing there putting the pool butler in to clean, we hear a little coo.
Now my dad and I are standing there like WTF is going on, and we turn around and right in the treeline next to us is a little brown chicken. We corner it and catch it, and then as we are walking back to the coop we see another. And another. And another
We counted a total of 12 chickens out of the coop. Insert comical chase scene where my dad and I literally hit our heads on trees trying to pin them down or chase them closer to their coop.
I spent an entire hour with a massive net catching chickens.
So then we go back to our house to tell my sister what was happening, and I ever so casually look up.
And there's a chicken sitting on the roof of our shed.
Seriously how did these chickens even escape to where they did? We never leave the gate open!
