She replies, looking at Joe

"I don't know how she could possibly do it though, give up her child for so long and at such a young age too. I have had the twins a week and I sometimes stay awake for hours just watching over them at night"

I nod and say

"I guess there is some reason behind why she did it"

There has to be a reason. A reason that in less than a year I will be informed of.

The triplets are asleep by noon. Effie looks exhausted so when Haymitch suggests a nap Effie doesn't hesitate but immediately begins to make her way upstairs. Haymitch glances at the triplets in their cribs with a soft smiles before turning to me and saying

"I must go wash the dishes"

I reply

"I'll help you"

So I follow him into the kitchen. He washes the plates and I dry them before placing them into the cupboard. As we do this I say

"The triplets must be quite a handful"

He laughs and says

"Tell me about it. Do you have nay idea what its like to wake at 3am to 3 crying babies"

I say with a grin

"No luckily I have only had that experience with one"

He tells me whilst handing me a plate

"I have drank more coffee in the last week than I usually would in a year"

I laugh and we continue the system of washing and drying until eventually all the dishes are put away. Just in time too as the triplets awake and its time for round two of babysitting.

---

Sophie jumps into my arms just as Peeta walks through the doorway. Her clothes are covered in flour which gets coated onto my clothes as she hugs me. I give her a tight squeeze before she runs off to greet Haymitch and Effie. Peeta walks over, a plastic bag in hand filled with treats for Haymitch and Effie. He places it on the coffee table before greeting me with a kiss. He says

"Hi"

I say with a smile

"Hey, did you try make our daughter into some sort of dough or something?"

He gives a light laugh before saying

"She spilt some flour. Flour never hurt anyone"

I say, showing my black cardigan coated in flour as evidence

"No it didn't. It just ruined clothes"

He scoffs and I smile. I turn to Haymitch and Effie and say

"We'll be off then"

Effie glances at Haymitch before saying

"Can we ask you something first?"

I glance at Peeta who replies with an uneasy voice

"Sure"

Sophie runs off to the bathroom to wash flour from her face as Peeta and I take a seat on the ouch opposite Haymitch and Effie. As we sit his hand accidentally lands upon mine. He doesn't move it but silently with discretion takes it and give it a slight squeeze to say 'don't be worried'. The thing that got me worried is their uneasy and nervous tone. Haymitch asks Effie

"Will we just ask them?"

Effie nods with a small smile and then Haymitch turns to us and says

"We'd like you to be Hailey's godparents"

I say excitedly

"Really?"

They nod and we cheer. There's a lot of hugging and thanks but I am honestly so overwhelmed with joy. I'm going to be a godparent. After this there is a lot of chatting about the christening and about Joe and Maysilee's godparents who will be coming form the capitol for the occasion. Obviously its not for a while but with capitol guests Effie says there's much to organise. Late that evening we head home. All of us head straight to bed on arrival to the house, Sophie is too tired for a bedtime story even. With flour coated into her arms I know I will have to bathe her in the morning. Once I climb into bed beside Peeta he pulls me toward him slowly. I lay in his arms as we whisper to one another

"I can't believe they chose us as her godparents"

I reply

"I know its crazy"

He says softly

"Goodnight"

"Goodnight"

"I love you"

"I love you more"

"Not possible"

But before I can even argue, put up protest or even give a look of disapproval of his statement I am long gone into a deep yet peaceful sleep.
