Lizzie's POV

----------------

"We have to lose our stalkers." I said quietly to the others after we entered the woods.

"Yes, but how?" Cupquake asked.

"Maybe we could make a run for it?" Stacy suggested.

"Sounds like a plan." I agreed.

"On three then." Stacy said.

"1"

"2"

"3"

We bolted, and I could hear our pursuers trying  to chase, but we'd caught them by surprise.

After a good while, when I was pretty sure we'd lost them, I halted and took a deep breath.

"Let's transform here." Cupquake said breathlessly.

"Okay." I chirped.

Stacy closed her eyes and large, sky blue angel wings sprouted form her back. The crystal sword in her hand glowed with a powerful aura and it was now embedded with diamonds at the hilt.

Cupquake had deer antlers, ears, and a tail, her arms encircled with vines. Her iron sword became a green wand with a tulip tip.

I could feel shadows drawing in near me, as shadowy armour, black as night, rubies embedded at the joints, appeared. A single shadow solidified into a dark sword.

We all studied each other.

"This is cool." I finally said, breaking the awkward silence.

"I know." Stacy nodded her head.

"Shall we spar then ladies?" Cupquake asked, a competitive glint in her eyes.

"You betcha." Stacy grinned.

"Alright, ready. Set. Go!"

We charged, and the battle begun.

Clashing against each other's attacks, I nearly managed to win, when something grabbed my foot, and I tripped losing my balance.

A vine had snaked its way around my ankle, keeping my down.

"I'm going to kill you Tiff!" I shouted over the clanging, cutting the vine off.

Cupquake suddenly had Stacy beneath her, a foot on Stacy's back, smiling triumphantly.

"I believe I win girls."

Stacy groaned, and got up, brushing off dust, her wings vanishing and her sword returning to a normal diamond blade.

"Owwie."

My shadow gear melted off me, and scurried into the darkness, merging with the shadows of everything around us.

Deciding to keep my shadow sword, I hung it on my belt.

Cupquake's horns shrank until they were gone. Her ears and tail disappeared with a poof, and her wand converted into an enchanted iron sword.

Sweat stung my face, as the sun climbed lower in the sky.

"We should go back." I huffed, catching my breath.

"Yeah." Stacy muttered.

Walking back in the direction of the village, we were greeted by the sight of two guards.

Laurence and the blue haired dude, Dante.

"Where were you?" Dante asked us carefully.

"Out." Cupquake answered.
