"Are you sure you're okay by yourself here?"

I nodded, "Come on, it's your day. Don't think about me. I'm enjoying the cupcakes and little champagnes."

"Okay, leave me a message soon," she embraced me and left.

After eating dinner, there is a dance. Everybody approached to have the chance to dance with the celebrant. And I really think she has no time to entertain me. That's why I walked out of the dance hall and dragged myself to the garden where there are only few people staying.

Tickling sensation stayed under my long gown as the grasses on the garden played with my shin. I could sense the coldness of this tranquil night running all along my bare arms. I wished I brought something for protection. I'd gladly wear sweater over my gown no matter what people would say.

I let out a deep sigh. I stared at the dark sky although there's nothing much to remember every ounce of it. There wasn't even a single star for me to wish upon. But that didn't hinder me from wishing something. I closed my eyes and started wishing.

I wish this night would be a great night for her, I muttered on my mind.

As I opened my eyes, I saw a couple giggling and tickling each other. Maybe one of them is Phoebe's cousin. I looked away; I should be enjoying this for her and not mope around. My eyes were just scanning, checking out the visitors, studying their actions-until I saw someone staring at me from afar.

I caught him looking at me. He suddenly ran faster to get away from me. I feel like he has been watching me all this time. From the look of his eyes, I kind of feel that he likes me. But I'm hope I'm wrong with that belief.

My feet dragged me to the place where he set his foot into. I chased him for no apparent reason. I didn't even noticed we reached the woods trying to be a princess running in order to catch her escaping prince. I was in no mood to play hide and seek. All I know is that I'm chasing him in order to ask why he was so shocked I caught him gazing at me in the middle of the party.

Catching my breath, I halted and sat on the ground. My hair was disheveled like I just came from an exhausting expedition. I feel like I've been running for my entire life in order to live when in fact a strange guy just ran away from me.

Sweats travelled all over my core and it feels like my heart is exploding right now. Heck, why am I even chasing a guy? It's not like he's the answer to all the dilemmas I have right now.

I embraced my knees and settled my chin on top of it. This is like Taylor Swift running out of the woods. The only difference is that I'm the one who is running to get something. I was not expecting this night to turn out like this.

I removed the mask from my face and leaned my back on the tree behind me. I hope Phoebe is not looking for me. It's late now and I think I'm lost in the middle of the woods. I don't know where the hell my feet dragged me. Seems like I have to spend the night here and wait for someone to rescue me. Please, not a knight on shining armor. An old sheriff would do to return me to where I live. I just hope no maniacs would wander around here.

"I wanted to talk. Just please don't hit me when I come closer."

I heard a voice from behind me. It was him; it was the guy I've been chasing earlier. It was the guy who brought me here in the woods and now I'm stuck here with no one to help me.

With a huge sigh, I gave up from arguing with him. Honestly, I wanted to know, too, why he ran at the party when he saw me caught him.

"Come over," I lazily commanded, still catching my breath.

My feet are real tired from running and honestly, I think I should be receiving an apology from him right now. He sat next to me. I didn't talk and waited for him to explain what he needs to explain.
