It was almost closing time but I really didn't want to leave just yet. I hated being in that house. It was a constant reminder of the past week. All I did was ask questions.

"How you doin tonight honey?" Her voice was so smooth. It was like listening to silk, If silk had a specific sound....You get the point.
I was so caught up with staring I forgot that she was even speaking to me. She cocked her head sideways slightly trying to figure out what was wrong with me. I noticed her awkward stare and tried to play it off like I couldn't hear her over the music.
"I-i'm sorry, what did you just say." I was trying to pull it together. Not only had the shots of crown hit me hard but she was so pretty I couldn't focus.
She laughed and said, "I was just wonderin if you were okay. You looked kinda sad when I walked by you earliea. You havin a bad night?" Her southern accent rolled off her tongue with such ease. You could tell she was either born and raised in Atlanta or maybe deeper south.
"Nah, I'm fine. Just a minor setback for...."
"A major comeback." She smiled at me. Her smile was nice and bright. "Yeah, Ha exactly."
I didn't notice but I was rubbing the back of my neck and fiddling with my curls. I only do it when I'm really nervous or really irritated. But why the fuck was I nervous? I'm Alonzo Briggs. Playa playa, playboy, sex symbol etc. etc. I've never had a problem with talking to beautiful women. Even when I was in high school I got all the girls. The Best and the Baddest. But right now, I was making a damn fool of myself. I gotta hurry up and get out of here. Maybe the alcohol is hitting me harder then I think because I have NO game right now. This is why I stick to smoking.
"Your set was really good tonight Ms...." I stumbled not knowing if Ella Reign was just a stage name or not.
"Loreign" she stuck her hand out for a handshake. I brought it slowly to my lips and planted a light kiss while rubbing the top of her slender fingers with my thumb. I could see her smirking at me.

I got up from my seat, stumbling hard. You know how you stand up and realize how drunk you REALLY are? Yeah ya boy was toe up. I just had to make it outside to get to the driver. I planned ahead.
"You alright?" Loreign asked as she held on to my shoulder "You're not drivin are you?"
"Nah I got a dri...friend pickin me up. They're outside right now. Thanks though."
Starting out the door she stopped me again, "Wait. I uh..Didn't catch your name." "Alonzo" "Well it was nice meeting you too Alonzo. Maybe i'll see you again soon." She reached into the side of her skirt and pulled out a business card.
