Good to be a Poet (1st Anniversary of Poets' Pub)

There are moments of silence,

Happy or sad,

But no words.

Phrases learned at young age

And known by heart

Don't help to start

The speech, you want to hold.

Poetic bits,

Collected over the years,

Are music to my ears.

It's good to treasure them,

You can't be sure when you'll need

Short verses to pull yourself together.

So try at least to keep

What encourages you

In mind

To remember it

When tears are about to let you go blind.

It's good to be a poet

Because you got so much to say;

I wish you many fellow poets on your way!
