I look down and see my shopping trolley is almost filled to the brim with bedroom type things. Wallpaper, wallpaper paste, carpets, carpet paste, fairy lights, bedspreads, cushions, cushion covers. If I went on the list would probably stretch as far as China.
Alfie said it would probably be a good idea to get the furniture like beds, chairs, wardrobes, drawers, that kind of stuff. He also said that it would be delivered by this afternoon, which is good because I'll need the bed to sleep in.
As we get further round B&M I can feel my room starting to come to life.
"What do you think of this?" Zoe shows me a framed picture of pastel flowers.
"It's lovely!" I say, and she puts it in the trolley. This has been all we have said to each other for the past two hours. But I don't mind it.We finish our shopping trip which came to a total of £1941.
"Thank you so so much, Zoe." I say gratefully. "It was worth it Liv, if it made you happy." Zoe smiles and links my arm and we walk back to the car. Alfie meets us at the car as he was finalising the delivery plans and we drive home together as one happy family.
