It may seem
That there's nothing scarier,
Than having someone's actions
Affect your well-being,
To have one person
Tied to your continued survival,
To feel a deeply ingrained bond
With the entirety of their being.
It can be terrifying to realize
That they hold your fate in their hands,
They have control over your will to exist.
However, there is something much,
Much worse than this.
Just imagine
If you also knew,
That you have no bearing on them at all,
That you are an insignificant factor,
A replaceable toy.
