It was Monday morning and I was standing at my locker yawning like usual. "Jamie! You're never going to believe this!" Kasey came running at me from down the hall as she shouted. I casually reached for my calculus book, not emotionally prepared to hear her say that Harry accepted the ring, the ring she didn't give him all weekend. "What Kase? C'mon I got to get to calculus." I grumbled. She furrowed her eyebrows. "Jamie, class doesn't start for 7 more minutes." Kasey assured me with a confused look on her face. I rolled my eyes. I like being early everyday to every class. "So?" I looked at my shoes which are actually uncomfortable, and I decided as of today I am never wearing again. "DEAR LORD JAMIE!" Kasey's voice shouted.

"What?" I asked.

"Are you ever going to stop spacing out?" She laughed and I did too. I was a deep thinker, even when I was younger, even if I'm not thinking very deep thoughts, I'm always thinking...more than one should.

"I'm sorry. Uh...What is it?"

"Oh right! So, I was talking to Harry and guess what he said!" Kasey jumped up and down with excitement as she spoke.

I sighed, here it comes...

"You know his best friend Louis?" She asked me. Well that was out of the blue. I nodded. Of course I did Harry has been friends with Louis since he was four.

"Well, he said Louis really likes you, and he's going to ask you on a date." Kasey finished her thought.

I was so confused I haven't seen Louis in months, why was he talking about me to Harry? And why does he want to take me out on a date? What's wrong with his eyes? If Louis wants to take me on a date he must not be thinking straight. Also, Louis is 21 which means he's four years older than me. Why would he want to go out with someone as young as me when he can date someone his age?

"So will you go?" Kasey asked more excited than me. I looked up from my shoes to see her lightly jumping up and down, beyond her I saw Harry at his locker staring intently at us with his jaw clenched and a blank look on his face. When he saw me looking back, he quickly turned away and headed to class.

He probably thinks I'm such a freak. I could never get him in a million years, why do I even think of those fairy tale stories where I end up with him. That's never going to happen.

"Yeah, ok. I'd love to." She was so excited she came in to hug me but I just turned around and marched off to class. Louis is cute. I like Louis. This will be fun.

It was later that day, when I was sitting on the couch watching a movie I don't even know the name to. I'm only watching it because I have nothing better to do, and Kasey wanted to watch it. I was sitting alone on the big couch, while Harry and Kasey were snuggled up on the small couch. Matty was on the floor playing with his action figures, crayons, and drawing books. As always a boring scene came on so Kasey started rambling about whatever she could think of.

"Jamie." Matty softly said patting at my knee. I looked up from a spot on the ground I had been staring at. "Yeah, Matty." I whispered.

"Kasey's been calling your name." He went back to playing with his toys. I looked up to Kasey, who was wrapped in Harry's arms. She rolled her eyes at me, probably annoyed I didn't hear her before.

"Gosh Jamie. When are you going to just start paying attention?" She spoke to me with attitude. I shrugged and looked back down at the ground feeling bad about the way that I was. "Well, anyways. I just wanted to tell you that Harry and I gave Louis your phone number and he said that he would call you." She rambled smiling.
