Dante X Angel Reader- MC

A/N Hi its Gale! I don't really have a 'thing' for Dante so this is gonna be a hard one to write. Plus, I'm busy all the time so yea, greatness, and I am stressed out because it's the end of the school year and there are NON-STOP TESTS, I hate tests. Btw, the picture above is supposed to be you and Dante. So ya, I hope you like this one I'm doing, enjoy~

Backstory: You are an angel. You were sent down from the heavens to watch over the people of Phoenix Drop and protect them. You look like a normal human being and act like a normal human being. You have been there for over 200 years protecting and watching. Then, years went by years and you met a boy with blue hair, named Dante. You two are really good friends and he trusts you with his life. You've never really had any emotions before, except from when you were alive, and you feel that you actually do have feelings now. You had a thing for Dante and look out for him the most, but you know you can't be with him. Will you being an angel stop you from being with the one you love the most? (remember, you are technically dead because you're an angel....from heaven)

Y/N P.O.V.

When will I be able to live again? I thought to myself as a watched Levin, Malachi, Alexis, and Yip play with a ball. "Y/N! Will you play with us? Please!" Levin yelled to me. "You know I would love to Levin, sweetheart, but.....I cant." "But you're not doing anything else!" Malachi said as he came over to me. I kneeled down. "Malachi. There are some things that can't be explained in life. Trust me. You'll learn someday!" "Oh alright!" Then he turned around and started playing again. I got up and went to Aphmau's house. I knocked on the door. I'm down today and she'll cheer me up. Aph opened the door. "Hey Aph." "Hi Y/N! Why are you down today? I can tell you're down." "Yea I knew you would. It's about..." "Was it a boy? I swear if it was a boy, imma rip his head off if he hurt you." "Aph...heh..it's not a boy....well...kinda..." "Well then what's it about?" "Well....as you know and the only one who knows....I'm a spirit or an angel and lately....I've been wanting to be alive again. I want to have emotions again and be able to love and care for people." "But I don't understand....you already care for people." "Yes but that's my job. Remember? I was sent down to protect and watch over people. I do try and care for people not by force. But...it never works and now I'm constantly sad and depressed even though I can't actually feel that." "Y/N, you know I cant do anything about that." "And there's something else too..." "And that's?" "Over the past 11 years, I had grown close to Dante. And I don't have emotions at all, so how do I know I like him? I know there's something there inside of me that says I like him but I'm just not sure anymore." "Well, you gotta do what your heart says." "APH! I DON'T HAVE A HEART! I'M DEAD! REMEMBER THAT?" "I'm sorry Y/N! I have never had to cheer up an angel that doesn't have emotions!" "Oh....I guess that's true...." "I know you don't want to, but.....maybe you could tell Dante about this." "What if he doesn't except me for who I am? What if he.....doesn't want to hang out with me anymore? Or even be my friend?" "Y/N, you know he's not like that. He would except you the way I did." "But....you wouldn't stop asking me stupids questions when I told you." "HEY! THOSE WERE REASONABLE QUESTIONS!" "Seriously Aph? You asked me if I could fly." "I WANTED TO KNOW!" "Even tho it was pretty obvious...." "Go tell Dante! He'd be the one to need to know about this." "Fiiiiiiinee....." I walked out of Aph's house and walked over to Dante's house. (Yes Dante has a house in this!) I knocked on the door and started regretting listening to Aph. But then Dante opened the door. Well, there's no turning back now. "Hey Y/N, what's up?" "Dante, can I come in?" "This sounds serious, of course you can." Dante moved aside so I could walk through the door. I walked into the house and sat down at a table, Dante sat across from me. "Ok, before I start, you have to promise me this won't change anything between us." "Why woul-" "JUST PROMISE!" "Ok! I promise!" "Sorry for yelling..." "It's fine...just continue...." "Ok, so...when I was about 21 years old, there was a fire in my home village and my family left me in the burning house. I was sitting in the basement scared and alone. When I woke up, I was in the clouds and I saw someone. It was Irene herself. She sent me down 200 years ago to watch over and protect the village of Phoenix Drop and for 200 years I have been here protecting and watching over this village, as a spirit or an angel. Irene did tell me, if I could prove myself a good protector, then I could be alive again. For 200 years, Dante, I have been doing that for 200 years. Apparently I haven't proved myself enough." "Oh my Irene Y/N, why haven't I heard this sooner, I would've helped you and supported you!" "I'm sorry Dante, I know I should've told you sooner, but to be honest, only you and Aph knows. And I don't want the word to spread so please don't tell anyone." "I won't." "Thanks Dante, I'm glad I have you around...." He hugged me and I hugged back. "There's something else too Dante..." "You can tell me anything..." "Well...I don't actually have any emotions, but there's something in me that says I like you, like more than a friend...." "I've always liked you Y/N, always will no matter what." "You have!?" "Yep!" I was speechless. "I hear something Dante...shh..." I heard screams, coming from little kids. "Oh my Irene....Malachi!" I ran out of Dante's house and to the place where Malachi and the other kids were playing before. And there was Malachi, trembling in fear, and there stood Zane, pointing a sword at Malachi. The other kids were standing there crying and screaming. "MALACHI!!" "Y/N!! PLEASE HELP ME!!!" The poor child said as he was balling his eyes out. I ran over to Zane and shoved him as hard as I could. I then summoned a white sword and ran towards Zane. He blocked my swing and it was sword to sword. I kicked him in the gut as hard as I could and told Malachi and the other kids to run as fast as they could to Aphmau's house and tell her what was happening. Zane fell back as I swung my sword again, hitting him slightly in the arm, hard enough to cut him deep. "Ahh!!!! Alright you win! Just don't hurt me!!" "WHY WOULD YOU DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT TO A LITTLE KID!? WHAT KIND OF SICK PERSON DOES THAT!?" "I SAID YOU WIN!" I swung again, but he blocked it with his other hand gripping his sword as tight as possible. "LEAVE NOW OR I WILL DO WORSE THAN JUST THAT SCRATCH!" He got up and started walking towards the gates holding the arm I had cut. Outside of the gates, was a horse, he got on it and rode away until I couldn't see him anymore. Dante then ran up to me. "Y/N! Are you ok? I saw the whole thing!" "I'm fine, I'm already dead, remember?" "Oh...yea...well I can still be worried, can't I?" "Heh, yea..." Then there was a flash of light. The clouds opened up and there was singing. Irene came down and told me, "Y/N, over 200 years ago, you died in a fire at your old village and I told you if you could prove yourself a good protector, you could be alive again. Rescuing a poor little boy from Zane seems worthy to me. Y/N L/N, you shall become alive again." Really? I get to...actually..be...alive again!? "Lady Irene, thank you so much, I have been waiting for this for over 200 years!" "Your welcome child!" Then I was lifted into the air and came back down with a F/C dress on. I got up and looked at my hands. "I'm...not...a spirit anymore!! I'm not pale!!! I'm alive!!!" I ran to Irene and hugged her, she laughed and hugged me back. Then she waved goodbye and went back up into the clouds. I turned to Dante, he had a 'what the heck just happened' face. "Dante!!!!" I squealed and jumped into his arms. "Dante! I'm alive! Back at your house, I told you that I didn't have emotions and that I knew I had feelings for you anyway. Well....NOW I KNOW I DO! I CAN TELL BECAUSE I ACTUALLY HAVE EMOTIONS NOW AND CAN LOVE AND CARE FOR PEOPLE NOW!!!" "Y/N!!! I was just about to ask you something important before you heard the noises, but now I'm glad that I waited because....now you're alive and this will work out better than expected!" "What were you gonna ask me?" I asked curiously. "Well...11 years ago, I met you and you were the most beautiful girl I've ever seen in my life. You took care of everyone and protected everyone. And I fell for you. So I was going to ask you if you.....would...be my girlfriend?" "OH MY IRENE YES!!!! I HAVEN'T EXPERIENCED TRUE LOVE SINCE ABOUT 200 YEARS AGO!" "Y/N, I love you...." He looked down. I lifted his chin. "I love you too Dante..." He made the first move and kissed me right after I said it. I kissed back and felt tears roll down my cheek. I haven't gotten to say that in over 200 years....Dante makes me feel happy...I love Dante and everyone in Phoenix Drop. And I will never stop protecting and watching over Phoenix Drop.

~LA Time Skip to 11 years later~

Y/N P.O.V. (still)

"Sara! Come here!" I yelled to my troublemaking daughter. "I swear mom I didn't do anything!" "Really? Is that so? Than why is Kyla hanging from a tree by her legs?" "Oh....umm...yea...we were doing an experiment! Yea that's it!" "Go get her down.." Sara left. "Ugh....being a stay-at-home mom with 3 kids is exhausting!" I said to myself. "I think I can fix that!" Dante said from the other side of the room. "HOLY CRAP BABE! Why did you scare me? I told you not to scare me like that!" "I know but it's cute when you're scared, your nose twitches and it's so adorable." I punched him in a playful way, then Dante leaned in to kiss me and I kissed back, then picked me up bridal style and started kissing my neck and I giggled like I did when we were younger. Me and Dante got married 10 years ago and had 3 children. Sara, the troublemaker, always doing things to her sister and brother. She was 8 and I still don't know how she manages to put her sister in trees! Kyla, the little angel of the three, she's so sweet and is always helping me and Dante around the house, she was 6. Then there was Jack, the sporty one. He was always out playing with Levin, Malachi, Alexis, anyone he could find. He just loved to be active and outside and was only 5, he must've gotten it from his dad. Dante and I on the other hand, Dante was 33 and I was 32, I know right? We're old for having an 8-year-old, a 6-year-old, and a 5-year-old, crazy, right? We were all living together and were happy. Dante stilled worked as a guard in Phoenix Drop, and like I said, I was a stay-at-home mom, yay! Yea it was life. And was happy I got to be with the man I love the most. And I got to be human again, my life was great. "Mom! I got Kyla down from the tree!" "Good! Now go to your room and think about what you've done!" But sometimes, it wasn't, and I had to be the bad guy...heh...yea, but I was happy and proud to be able to make a new life, and this time, I won't waste it!
