I stood in front of my front door nervously deciding how to tell him that I was pregnant. I walked into my house nervous, yet excited to tell my husband. As I stepped in, I heard noises coming from upstairs. I hesitantly walked up the steps, hoping that I was hearing wrong. The door was opened and I saw the most horrific sight. My best friend, Rachel, was on top of my husband, Nathaniel. On OUR bed. Both were naked and they were passionately kissing each other. I took a step back and instead of quietly fleeing the scene, I crashed on to the floor. They both turned to look at me. Nathaniel's eyes were cold and hard.
"You're here," he stated, "well this is better. I was wondering when to tell you. I want a divorce. Take your stuff and leave my house."
"Nate, what are you talking about?" I heard him the first time, but I wanted to make sure I heard him right.
"Leave! Now!" He yelled. I flinched at his tone.
"Alright," I said in a quiet tone. I turned around and ran down the stairs. I left the place I once called home.

3 years later
"Quinn, time for breakfast," I said while shaking my three year old daughter. She opened her eyes and rubbed them. Her eyes were exactly like her dad's.
"Pwancakes?" Her pronunciation was still a little off, but it was adorable.
"Yup," I said popping the p, "and bacon," I squealed. Personally, I didn't like bacon, but my little Quinn loved it so..
"Angie! I burned the pancakes! Help!" My best friend, Janice, yelled from downstairs.
"Let's hurry up before Auntie Jan burns down the house," I said. After I had Quinn brush her teeth and other morning activities, we ran downstairs only to be met with a cloud of smoke. I quickly started to open all of the windows. Janice came running out of the kitchen.
"I think we should eat out this morning," Janice grinned.
We drove to a diner that my old friend owned.
"Angie! It's been too long!" The waitress, Laura, squealed and pulled me into a hug when I walked in. "So what would you like?" Laura asked when we settled in our seats.
"Pwancakes!" Quinn shouted. Laura gave a little chuckle.
"Okay, pancakes," she said as she wrote it down.
"Only coffee for me," I said, "can I get bacon on the side for this little one," I pointed at Quinn, "and a small cup of orange juice?"
"Sure, and for you?" She turned to face Janice.
"French toast and apple juice, please," Janice answered.
"Okay, give us about fifteen minutes," Laura gathered our menus and walked to the back.
"Angie!"
"Michael!" I gave my old friend a tight hug.
"It's been such a long time," he said, "how come you haven't visited?"
"Well, I'm here now," I smiled.
"I missed you," he said.
"I missed you, too. How are your parents? Are they still upset that you want to wait a bit before taking over the company?" I asked.
"They're fine and yes they're still upset," he said. I heard someone clearing their throat behind me.
"Sorry," I said to Janice. "This is Janice and this is my daughter, Quinn," I said to Michael. His eyes lit up when he saw Janice. He totally liked her.
"Mike!" Laura came running out, "we have a problem! Two girls just quit! We're already short on staff and it's going to be rush hour soon! What do we do?" She asked.
"If you guys need a hand, I'll be glad to help," I suggested, "it's been a long time since I've worked."
"You would?" I nodded. "Thanks! You're the greatest friend ever!" Michael pulled me into another back-breaking hug.
