Opposites Attract

Beginning

"Seraphina!" I heard a loud familiar voice of my oh so happy mom (hint sarcasm) mom yelling my name.

"WHAT MOM!" I yelled just being woken up from my 'beautiful' slumber.

"Get your butt down here i have been calling you for the past two minutes!" Obviously my mom is not patient. Either way i rolled out of bed quite literally and slumped down the stairs.

"What. Do. You. Want." I was cranky because it was the weekend and it was only six in the morning.

"Don't give me sass....Hmph and i was going to tell you some amazing news..." She walked away and opened the fridge.

"Wait mom i'm sorry what's the news?!" I ran up to her and closed the fridge. She took my hand and sat at the dinner table and i sat across from her.

"So...." I looked at her and gave her a cheeky smile, hoping that the surprise was a car. (Hey i can dream)

"So don't freak out, you may not believe me at first but... Well this is kind of hard to say, our family is special. We come from a long line of pure-wolves. I am a pure-female and your late father, god bless his soul was a pure-male." She looked away and started to tear up.

"Mom, we both miss dad but we have to remember the good times. Now what were you going to tell me?" I looked at her blankly.

"Oh yes, well you are i don't know how to say this... you are a well, warewolf." She took my hand and smiled. i looked at her for a second and then started busting out laughing. When i finally managed to stop laughing i wiped my eyes and stood up from the table.

"That was a good laugh mom now i'm going to go back up into my room and go back to sleep." I started to walk out of the kitchen when my mom grabbed my hand.

"NO!" I jumped while she screamed that two letter word. "I mean, let me show you." She walked over to the door and locked it, then she walked over to the windows and shut the curtains.

"Can you get me a towel?" I sighed and ran upstairs to get a towel, and when i was back downstairs she was on the floor on all fours.

"Um mom, what are you doing?" I looked at her questioningly and a little creeped out.

"Just pay attention!" She snapped at me and i shut up.

All of a sudden she started shaking and her eyes turned a light yellow. She screamed and then almost in a blink of an eye turned into a warewolf, she looked like a bigger version of a wild wolf. She had brown fur and big yellow eyes.

"MOM WHAT JUST HAPPENED!" I jumped back hiding behind the couch. My mom shook her wolf like head and then started howling and turned back to her normal self. "Give me the towel." I did as she said because she was currently naked. Then she put the towel on.

"Believe me now?" I nodded my head and followed her back to the kitchen table. She took my hand and looked me deep into my eyes.

"Now allow me to explain you are a warewolf. I am too obviously as you just encountered. Soon you will start going through 'changes'. You will not be able to control you turning into and getting out of your wolf form. When you turn seventeen then you will get a little more control but until then-"

"OH NO!" My mom screamed and got up from the table and ran to the window in the living room. My mom must have forgotten to close that one because there was a woman obviously scared for her life standing outside of the window.

Two hours later our bags are packed and we are getting ready to move.

That's how this whole situation happened. Me. New school. Big secret.
