Chapter 4

I snapped my optics open, only to be blinded by a bright light. I tried to move, but found that I couldn't. Once my optics adjusted, I found that I was cuffed down to a medical berth.

"What is the meaning of this?" I asked aloud angrily. That's when I really looked around. I was in a place that was very unfamiliar, but had very familiar faces. "Autobots! Release me at once!" I saw that Arcee and Bumblebee were back on their feet and functioning at optimal capacity.

Optimus stepped forward. "Not until you tell us what we want to know. What is your purpose of being on this planet?"

"I don't have to tell you anything!" I grounded as I struggled against my restraints. "This is Con-napping!"

The other Autobots gathered around me once they saw that I wasn't getting anywhere.

"What is your place with Megatron?" Optimus continued. "I suggest you tell us before we are forced to use less civil methods of interrogation."

I laughed. "Go ahead and try, Prime. I don't think you have the spark."

I heard someone whisper, "I don't get it. We don't want to know anything about the Cons. Just her. Why won't she just tell us if she wants to leave so badly?"

"Another whisper, "Maybe she feels like what she does isn't any of the Autobots' business.

I smirked as I realized that those voices could come from none other than the children the Autobots watch over.

"Yes, what the child said. What I do is none of your business." I continued smirking as I heard three quiet gasps and the children stepped out from behind a corner in front of me. "But since you're so nosy about my life, I guess I'll tell you. If you all stop staring at me like I'm some sort of science experiment!" They backed off. "Thank you. Now, my purpose, hmm let's see. Ah, yes. I've been confined to the Nemesis as a medical assistant to Knockout. It was just today after the run-in with Arcee that he decided to give me some freedom."

"Sorry to say, but that was two days ago," the white and orange one said. "you've been in a coma-like state from-"

"-too much energon loss. Yeah, I know. Can I leave now?" I asked Prime.

"Not until you answer one more question. What is your place with Megatron?"

"What's with you Autobots and asking so many questions? I already told you. I'm his CMO's-"

"No. What is your place in his spark?" Prime clarified.

"Oh," I dumbly said as I looked at my feet. "I'm not sure...exactly. All he said is that I was special to him."

The Prime seemed satisfied with my answer. "Very well. You may leave. Ratchet release her."

The white and orange bot pressed a button, and my restraints disappeared.

I hopped off of the table and stretched. I noticed the children watching me. I made a split decision. I ran to the kids and grabbed them all in one hand. All the Autobots had their blasters aimed at me.

"Do you really want to risk injuring the children?" I smirked as they lowered their weapons. "That's good. I'll be on my way now." I backed up to the ground bridge controls and pulled the lever. I set it to close automatically in fifteen seconds. I transformed, strapped the children in tightly, and sped through.

"Nightstrike requesting ground bridge," I said into my com link. Soundwave made one appear in front of me. I drove through and transformed. The first person I saw was Megatron. he had worry written all over his face.

"You've been gone for two days. What happened? When I returned to the mine, there was energon everywhere."

"It was my energon. Before you left, he managed to cut into my side. I started to bleed right after you left. I got a couple of hits in before I went into stasis lock from lack of energon. When I woke up earlier today, I was in the Autobot base, cuffed down and healed. They then interrogated me and, once I complied, released me."

"Did you spill any sensitive information?" He was furious.

"Don't worry. It was just questions about myself. Nosey little cretins. Oh! I almost forgot! Since the Autobots Con-napped me, I decided to return the favor and brought you a gift. Three of them actually." I pulled the children out and handed them to him. His face of fury became one of smugness.

"I always had faith in you, dear Nightstrike." He watched the children struggling in his hand.

"I'm glad to hear it. Do with them as you wish. If anyone needs me I'll be in the shower hall. I think one of those little vermin purged all over my interior.
