Part One
"Come on Moss Pelt, you're as slow as a snail!" A young tortoiseshell she cat whispered as she paced outside a den which was made up of a bramble thicket and laurel. The chill of the morning frost ruffled her fur.
"Keep down Amber Flame, Snow Stripe and White Blossom are still asleep, and you're lucky that Furled Rain is gone out hunting, cause' if you woke him up he'd claw your ears off!" A black tom with white under-markings scoffed as he slid out from the den to meet Amber Flame who was flicking her tail impatiently.
The she-cat stiffed indignantly with her muzzle in the air but quickly lost her bad mood and sprung to her feet lightly. Moss Pelt looked around the quiet forest, rays of sun sliced through the thick trunks as dawn approached. "Are you sure this is a good idea, I mean, borders have been uneasy with rival cats, especially ever since Saber Fang returned." He shuddered at the thought of the maleficent tom.
"Pfft don't be such a scaredy cat." Amber Flame teased. "Don't worry you're my best friend, I'd never let a cat lay a claw on you" she meowed smugly trying to tick him off. Moss Pelt rolled his eyes at her as he padded past her, they were just about to head off when there was a rustle from the den behind them. A small white she-cat emerged from the entrance, her fluffy tail quivered as she stretched her hind legs.
"Morning White Blossom" Moss Pelt meowed warmly to his sister.
"Hiya guys, what you up to this early in the morning" White Blossom replied as she let out a yawn.
"Oh nothing, we were just going to take a stroll be the river" Amber Flame meowed dismissively as she sheathed and unsheathed her claws avidly.
"Oh can I come too!" She asked excitedly. What's she so excited about? It's just a walk--
"Of course" Moss Pelt purred and turned as he started to walk ahead, White Blossom and Amber Flame close behind.
The three cats padded through the undergrowth, passing Oak Shade, Bright Song, and their mother Primrose's den. They were kin to Amber Flame since Primrose and her father Marron were siblings. She always felt a curiosity to who Oak Shade and Bright Song's father was, but she knew better to ask because a queen didn't have to tell who the father was if she did not wish, though she did know that the older forest cats such as her father and mother knew who it was, but his name was no longer spoken for some reason she didn't know.
They reached the clearing where the Hollow Oak grew which was her family's den since Marron was the Teller. She could hear the quiet snoring of her sleeping siblings but spotted the brown pelt of her father through the leafy branches of the large tree, his expression thoughtful and confused as he gazed distantly at nothing. He must not have seen them since his gaze didn't seem to flicker.

The morning dew brushed off the tortoiseshell's fur as she padded through the long grass that made up the forest floor. The flow of the water was like a melody to her ears. The three cats reached the pebbly shore that ran along the river as the water brushed against bank.
"Come on let's head to the flat rocks" Moss Pelt suggested as he took the lead as they walked along the riverbank, flanked by his companions. The sun had risen and sat in the sky although it had not reached sunhigh yet. The golden rays beamed through the wispy clouds that danced across the azure sky which warmed Amber Flame's dark, mottled black pelt. The currents of the river moved along placidly, White Blossom walked along the edge of the water letting her toes get wet as she watched the river's motion. Amber Flame wondered what White Blossom found so intriguing about the river but she shrugged the thought off. It's White Blossom, she finds everything interesting--
The three young cats reached the flat rocks that were settled beside the river. They climbed up onto the rocks and cascaded on them, letting the heat pulsing off them warm their fur. Small silver fish darted beneath the rocks as Amber Flame let her head hang off the edge to watch the water below lazily. Moss Pelt seemed to have noticed.
"You trying to hunt the fish?" He asked not moving from his spot where he lay.
"Nah, not bothered to." The tortoiseshell cat murmured in reply.
Moss Pelt nodded and lay back on his side as the sun radiated onto his black pelt. Amber Flame nodded off a few times before she awoke to see it was sunhigh. She looked over to where Moss Pelt rested to see he was asleep. Let him rest, I'll go grab us a bite to eat. When she was finished grooming her pelt she got up and stretched her back in an arch making her tail curl. She looked around the flat rocks to see White Blossom was no longer with them. Maybe she went hunting too- but it's not like her to go out be herself.. She shrugged. Either way it's none of my business.
The tortoiseshell she-cat took long strides across the warm rocks to meet lush grass underpaw as she padded away from the river. The birds chattered overhead as the sunlight dappled the forest floor through the canopy of leaves. The fresh scents of green-leaf touched her nose.
Life is good, and I hope it never changes from the way it is now.
Author's Note:
Well then- I felt in the mood to write so I went ahead and did the first chapter, nothing big, a short placid first chapter as always.
Anyway but don't expect the second chapter anytime soon, I'm quite busy. Oh and one more thing- I need you to vote below (and please do vote it's quite simple instead of ignoring this) wether you want White Blossom to be good or bad (see all you need to do is type one word below XP) this will help greatly for me to choose how things plan out. As always I love to hear your feedback/suggestions/thoughts, thanks!
