Tonight's the night.

I tighten the grip in my clipboard,  looking lost somewhere, worrying about what might happen in tonight's game. Seriously, I don't know what I'm feeling, but its nostalgic to face the fact that once best friends, Kuroko and Aomine are now playing against each other.

"Is everyone ready?"

My mind snapped and I instinctively turn towards Coach Riko.

Ho ho, everyone looks serious now.

"Only three out of the four schools will be going to the Inter-High! Just like Koganei said, it doesn't seem difficult at first glance." She paused, taking a deep breath. "But.."

Eh?

I watched as Mitobe-senpai and Izuki-senpai both hold Koganei-senpai's arms and everyone step aside.

Coach Riko hold a paper stick on her hand as she hit Koganei-senpai, who looks lost, on his face.

Ehehehehee...

"If you think we can lose one, because it's a league game, we're finished!"

"Why me?" Koganei-senpai cried in the background, holding his swollen face.

"It comes down to now!" The coach ignored him. "We will win this game!"

"Seirin, fight!"

********

Whooshiee whooshieeee at the court.

Hey, there's no sweat here. A crowd and a whole lot of spectators watching, the court is big just as it used to be, but why the heck do it's not normal, atmosphere is tense, and our opponent is too good to be true.

Yep, that's right, Mari. Seriously, no pressure!

I'm not a player myself, but my legs are shaking. I don't know why is that, but I have two hypothesis. One is that because Too is strong, and the other, is that there's a deja vu feeling in here. I can't decide which two of these is the reason, but I'm sure that this is the reason. Okay now, I don't know what I'm saying.

While arranging the stuffs just like what I used to do every match, I accidentally but not really accidentally turn my head towards our opponent's bench beside us.

There's the team captain, the shooting guard, center, small forward...

"Hey, where's Aomine-kun?" I asked, loud enough for the others to hear.

"Oh yeah.." Kagami said beside me. "That's what I would like to ask, too."

He walked towards the Too's center, which in my data, is Wakamatsu Kosuke. Seriously, Kagami-kun...so friendly, aren't you?

"Excuse me, where's Aomine?"

"That self-centered bastard is running late." He answered, which made Kagami shocked. Hm, I guess maybe Kagami isn't really used on getting late at the basketball match, huh?

Aomine-kun...I don't know why I'm saying this but...you've changed a lot. And I miss your old self, you know. The best friend Kuroko has, who always has his back during those days Kuroko needed a friend.

God, you supported him better and more than I do.

"Mari!"

I stopped walking and turned to look at the running Aomine, with a cheerful grin. He slapped my shoulder gently when he reaches me. That grin never fades away.
