Chapter 12

"Hey guys! The names of all the schools appearing in the Championship League are out!" Coach Riko called out, as I handed each of them the schedules. 

After distributing, I stand beside Coach Riko observing the schedule. "As you can see, A block is us, B block is Too Academy, C block is Meisei, and D block is Senshinkan. Those four schools will compete to represent our region."

"Hmm.."

"This is a different looking league chart." Hyuga-senpai commented. 

"Until last year, the Tokyo representatives always included the three kings; Shutoku, Senshinkan, and Seiho."

Ah well, because we beat Seiho and Shutoku! YEAH! 

"I've been thinking.." All of us turned to Koganei-senpai with a bright eyes. "We beat Seiho and Shutoku. Do you think we could make it all the way this year?" 

"You!" Hyuga-senpai and Izuki-senpai scolded him.

"Even if we lose to the other king with Aomine and Momoi..If we beat others.."

"Sorry, but it's not Senshinkan." I corrected them, remembering Aomine's words about see you in the championship league. "Those two go to Too Academy."

"WHAAAAT?!"

"I thought all the Generation of Miracles went to well-known schools!" Koganei-senpai exclaimed. 

"I thought he would have gone to a strong school like Midorima." Izuki-senpai added.

"I know it, so I'm sure." I assured them. Of course I know it! Aomine and Momoi were my schoolmates before!

"I've never heard of them." Hyuga-senpai commented. 

"Hmm.." We all looked at Coach Riko, inspecting my clipboard. "Their history isn't impressive, but they've been putting energy into their scouting effort lately. They've been recruiting promising athletes from all over the country. In the last few years, they've rapidly improved, and this year's line up is comparable to Shutoku's."

"I don't believe it." I heard Fukuda said. 

"Hey!" We all looked at Kagami entering. "Sorry! Cleaning up took longer than expected."

Nigou barks, and I frowned while approaching Kagami. 

"Do you want to tell us something, Kagami-kun?" I asked him, putting my hands on my hips in like a mother scolding her child. 

"Miu?" Kagami asked me with a confuse look. "No...?" He answered, but it looks like more of a question.

"Really?" I frowned even more, if that's possible. 

"Yeah.." 

"You were playing basketball, right?" And with Aomine!

"N-No.." 

I glared at him with a murderous aura. "R-e-a-l-l-y?" I emphasized every letters, and that made Bakagami flinched in terror. 

"Uh, well, I, um..." Kagami rubs the back of his head. "...a little?" 

Coach Riko suddenly appeared, crushing Kagami's head. "YOU IDIOT, KAGAMI!" She shouted, multiples veins on her head. 

"Sorry, ow! Sorry, sorry!" 

"How many times did we tell you?! Are your ears just for decoration?! Are they just holes in your head?!"

"OW!" 

"You'll just be watching today!" Coach Riko shouted, pointing at the redheaded idiot. "Get a heat pad from the nurse's office! Since you can't sprint, walk all the way there on your hands!"
