"Henrietta my dear something terrible is coming and I'm afraid that it's coming for you. Be careful child, and don't trust just anyone."

"Rosa! Is that you? It is isn't it? Why did you leave me here all alone?"

"You're not alone sweetheart, if you just open your eyes you'll realize that you have a whole army on your side."

"Where are you? And who should I be careful of?"

"I'm sorry dear, I have to go. There calling me back, but just remember to follow what's right."

"Wait Rosa! Don't leave!"

"Henrietta! Henrietta! Wake up." I bolted up, only to see Liza and Ray with worried eyes. I put my hand to my head.

"What happened?"

They looked to each other.

"You don't remember? That mutt Micah brought you here. Did he do something to you? Cause if he did-"

"No Ray! He saved my life ... Again." I whispered the last bit to myself.

"Where is he?" I started looking around.

"I kicked him out of course. Sadly though he's been sitting outside the door." He turned to Liza, almost whispering.

"Can you believe he brought another were with him too. The nerve of this guy. When he asked if he could join us he didn't say he would bring another dog with him." Liza nodded in agreement.

I stood up, absent mindedly not hearing what Ray said, and headed straight for the door. Once I opened it Micah was standing there, with his back to the door.

"Come in."

I turned around and headed into the living room. I heard his footsteps, so I knew he was following. I planted myself on the couch and so did he, but directly opposite of me.

I didn't wait for him to say a word, I jumped right in.

"Thank you for saving me, but why did you come here? You could of gotten killed, and if this is because of the mate thing-" he put his hand up stopping me from speaking.

"Listen witch," Witch! I thought he stopped calling me witch. "It was by accident I found you in the woods today, so don't think anything of it." Is he for real! What's the chance he would be in the woods at the right time, and the right place.

"And if you haven't noticed you were never my mate, like you said I was only using you for a joke. It was pretty funny to see you all giddy when I told you, you were my mate. Don't take me for a dog, I would never stoop as low, as to mate with a witch." He had a disgusting look on his face that confirmed that he really was an asshole. I bet if you looked up asshole in a dictionary his face would be planted right next to the definition.

"You're disgusting, you know that. You prance around here like everyone should bow at your feet. You're a disgrace to the living. Get out!" I can't believe I was being played. At one point he seemed so sincere about me. I should have just stayed away from him like I was told.

"Get the hell out!" He didn't budge.

"Fine, I'll leave then." I turned the door knob.

"Henrietta wait!" I spun around.

"What!" Ray and Liza staggered back, obviously shocked.

"Just let her go already. She's obviously not wanted." My eyes darted to Micah's. It's like he changed into a whole different person.

"Why are you still here!" I yelled at him. Why isn't Ray or Liza telling him to get the hell out? I thought they hated werewolves.

"Because I'm part of the group now, and so is my friend over there."

"What!?" I screamed for the second time. I grabbed Liza and Ray and pulled them into the nearest room.

"What the hell does he mean by 'he's part of the group now'? It has to be a joke, right?" Just by the way both their eyes avoided mine, I knew it wasn't.

"How could you guys do this? The mission's main purpose is to stop the werewolves, why would we have some of them tag along. That makes no sense."

"Henrietta just listen." Liza said, trying to calm me down but failing horribly.

"We heard a loud knocking on the door, and were surprised as hell to see him carrying you, we thought he did something to you, but he told us that there was a demon tailing you and he killed it-" Ray cut in.

"I was about to knock the living daylights out of him if he hadn't said that he could help us. He said something about how he has a bone to pick with the werewolf council. I know what you're going to say 'don't trust him' but with him here now, we have a better chance at getting to the base of the war." I stood there, open mouthed.

I thought I was free of him at the academy, now he's going to be traveling with us.

"What about his friend? Why is he here?" I had almost forgotten about him, but who really could miss the hot blonde standing next to the front door.

"Oh Micah said he was his closest ally. I think he only brought him for back up, so if we were to turn on him he'd have an extra wall of muscle." Liza said with a little snicker in her voice. I didn't find anything funny. What Micah said to me was still and forever going to run through my mind.

I should have known. There was a small piece of me that knew that his so called 'love' wasn't real. I have to say he's a pretty good actor. He had me fooled with his overbearing jealousy, and especially with the kiss he gave me. I could've sworn it was a real and that it had meaning but once again I was dead wrong.

I was instantly snapped out of my thinking when Ray wrapped his arms around me.

"Henrietta I'm so glad you're ok. When I saw him carrying you, I thought you were dead." He gave me a peck on the cheek. I gave him a shy push. Sooner or later I'm going to have to break the news to Ray, that I'm just not interested.

"Well I'm fine now, thanks. And since I'm up and running I think tonight is the best night to do the circle and find the witch." Ray looked a bit worried but he nodded in agreement.
