teagan

Sighing I open the last box labeled fragile and start emptying it, a job my parents had left to me.

I wasn't really happy with all the work I had to do, but the silence in the new house was way more welcoming and very hard to neglect, considering it was rare since my parents fought every minute they were in the same room.

I almost wanted to just drop all the plates to the floor and see them shatter to pieces only to see the look on my parent's faces, but then I remind myself that I had to eat food in these.

The songs of fall out boy fill the background, while I fill the empty kitchen up. The frown on my face disappears as I open the last box, and is replaced by a smile as the treasured wine collection of my parent's comes into view.

Smirking I empty all four of them into water bottles while filling the wine bottles with water and store them at the back of a cabinet.

Looking around, I let out an exhausted sigh on seeing that I am finally done with painting the lie that is making the new house look like a loving home.

I wander the hallways of my new hell hole, stopping in front of the window which covered half of the wall in the living room.

Standing on the ledge of it, I look down to see a nearly vacant parking lot, to the left a fire escape and immediately I think of climbing it.

My phone shows that it's 10 p.m and separate messages from my parents confirming that they won't be coming until tomorrow.

Without any hesitation, I throw a leg over the window and place my feet on the protruding platform, slowly inching towards the fire escape.

After two stories, my destination awaits that is the roof of our apartment building, a wall separating it from the roof of it's twin.

Checking twice just to make sure that no one is there, with a bit of struggle I land on the cemented roof. It is boundary less, making the thrill all the more surreal.

Standing on my feet, I curb my urge to scream at the top of my lungs, not wanting to scare the shit out of whoever was above or below me.

Moving further, I explore for a spot that I could call mine and finally decide on just lying with my back pressed to the wall which separated me from the other roof.

It wasn't until I heard a quiet fucking hell from somewhere near me did I realize that me and my water bottle weren't alone.

Or I was starting to imagine things, in this case voices that seemed to belong to a male.

" What got you so angry ? "

I ask to no one in particular, and a moment of silence later I hear the person which I figured was on the other side of the wall murmur to himself,

" Great! I am officially going insane. "

Taking a huge sip from my bottle, I chuckle loudly,

" That makes the two of us. "

I hear a loud gasp as if the person finally realized that he wasn't alone. At least I was hoping it was a he, because I just couldn't tolerate a she right now.

" You are actually here ! " A voice exclaims, deep yet so soft.

" No shit Sherlock. " I couldn't stop the sarcasm even if I wanted to, because it was just my reliable source of being as polite as I could to people and not straight away smacking them for being so freaking annoying.

" You don't have to be so rude." He replies sounding offended,

" My definition of rude is punching you in the face, which I didn't so be thankful."

" You sound mean. "

" I look mean too. " I reply teasingly, and after receiving only silence I wonder if I scared him off.

But surprisingly he speaks again,
" My name's Dante, "

" Teagan , " I say taking another swig from the bottle.

And that's how it all started , how the stars and the night sky stood as sole witnesses to a love that will unfold between two teenagers looking for an escape on their respective rooftops.

And the first chapter is here *drum roll* So what do you think ?
