I spin her around as we laugh and she falls onto the bed, hysterically.
"Oh my god Finn Hudson," she says through deep breaths. "You can sing!" She laughs again, and now I can't help but laugh with her.

After almost a minute she gets up. "Alright, back to unpacking." I can tell I'm going to enjoy my time with her.

Rachel's POV
I wake up to the sound of cars honking outside my window and people talking loudly as they make it through the morning rush. I guess it's true what people say, this city never does sleep.
I stretch out my legs in bed and proceed to get up, walking like a zombie because I'm still super tired. I couldn't get to sleep easily last night, but I guess I'm just not used to the city's non-stop life and noise.

I walk over to my new wardrobe and pick out a simple navy blue dress which I think I've only worn once or twice, although I really do love it.
Once I'm dressed and I've got ready for the day, I decide to make my way into the kitchen to make breakfast. As I pull open the curtain to my room, I can see opposite me that Finn's is still closed. I take a little peek through the gap between his curtain and the wall and I can see he's still asleep, stretched out across the whole double bed. He sleeps so weirdly, it's kinda cute.

I continue to walk into the kitchen, and I have a look what's in the cupboards to eat. I'm surprised to see they are almost all full. Finn must have brought some food with him when he got here. Why didn't I think of that?

Finn's POV
I wake up suddenly, realising I've forgot to set my alarm. Luckily, I've only slept in for 20 minutes. I can smell something cooking in the kitchen. It must be Rachel, she probably remembered to set her alarm unlike me. I jump out of bed and throw on a plain grey shirt and jeans. I decide I'll worry about my hair later, since the smell of cooking is making me hungry.

As I enter the kitchen, Rachel doesn't notice me. She's dancing around, singing quietly to herself while making eggs and bacon. She's so cute. I know it sounds creepy, but I could just watch her all day.

Rachel's POV
I turn around and abruptly stop singing when I realise Finn is standing across from me. I thought he was still asleep.
"How long have you been standing there?" I ask him, still a little shaken of how quickly I stopped when I saw him.
"Not long, don't worry. I could smell the bacon so it gave me the motivation to get up." He laughs.
"Oh, okay," I smile a little bit "well I've made some for you as well and it's almost ready, so I guess it's good that you got up when you did."
He takes a seat at our little table. "Thanks."
I put a couple pieces of bacon and a fried egg on to a plate for him, and then the same for me. I put them down on the table across from each other, and sit down.

Finn's POV
"Wow, this is some good bacon." I say as I start eating breakfast. "You're really good at cooking Rachel."
She laughs. "It's only bacon, but thank you. Did you sleep alright?"
I nod with a big mouthful of food, and she laughs again and nods back. She continues.
"I'm sorry about making you sing with me yesterday, I know it was sort of weird. I just got a bit excited." She looks down at her food like she's embarrassed, making me a bit confused as to why.
"What? No, it was fine. It was funny." I try to comfort her a bit. She looks up at me a little with a slightly surprised look. "Honestly, I enjoyed it. We had fun, right?" She nods. "Well then." And we both smile.

Rachel's POV
As me and Finn finish eating, I get up ready to take the plates and wash them up, until Finn puts his hands on mine and I stop. He smiles at me. "I'll do it, you cooked." We both realise that we're weirdly holding hands, and Finn pulls away taking the plates from me. It makes me smile a little, although I'm not sure why. I only just know him. It must be just all the excitement of a new place.
