Darkness; a short story

He enters the room dressed in darkness. It follows him everywhere he goes like a ghost. Darkness poisons the light around him.
His grey eyes are cast down unblinking, shielded by his black hair.
His black shoes scuff across the ground as he walks. His dark shadow follows him as he moves along. He looks at no one as he walks. He wonders why everyone is surrounded by light, and he is surrounded by the dark.
Perhaps, there is darkness inside them.
People wonder why he is not surrounded by light. They wonder why they cant see the light on him, like they can everywhere else.
He adjusts the black bag slung across his shoulder. Maybe, just maybe, light fills the inside. Maybe, just maybe, everything is not dark.
And if there is the slightest bit of light in the darkness, there is the slightest bit of darkness in the light.
