Keith's eyes widened before he jumped ten feet away from the trash can and that's when the panic started, "Kill it, Jess. Get rid of it, do something! Aw man..." He started screaming uncontrollably.
Well, if I wasn't his friend, I would've apologized and assured him that there was no roach. But since I was his awesome friend, I did nothing.
Except laughing, of course.
"Jess, why aren't you doing anything? Stop laughing and help me!" He begged.
I slapped my knee, trying to suppress my laughter until I finally calmed down, but when I took in his expression, all horrified and on the verge of a panic-attack it took all that I had to control myself from bursting into another round of laughter.
I gave him an amused smile, "Did you even look to check if it was even there in the first place?"
He looked at me with his panicked face and then shook his head, peeking into the trash can-- only to find nothing. His shoulders sagged before he let out a breath in relief.
I was about to laugh again when he cut me off, "Don't, don't start laughing again, I've heard enough of it. Thanks," I instantly stopped.
But it wasn't because he told me to, it was the look of sadness on his face that made me held in whatever comment I had. Now I felt really guilty.
I sighed, placing a hand on his shoulder and pointedly ignoring the tingles that I felt, "Okay, so I never usually comfort people, because I'm awful at it. But just to make you feel a bit better," I took a deep breath, "I just want to say, that I wanted to record the whole thing and put it on YouTube,"
His head turned to look at me, and I was really happy to see the small smile on his face, "You shouldn't have said anything,"
I smiled, relieved that he was okay now and took my hand off his shoulder, "If I didn't, you would've remembered that girly scream of yours,"
His smile dropped and he rubbed a hand over his face, sighing, "I shouldn't have said anything either," He mumbled.
I laughed, punching him on the arm, "Now, come on, you wuss. Let's get to work,"
He rolled up his sleeves, up to his shoulders, which made me laugh again and he muttered, "Stop laughing,"
I laughed and shook my head, "That's like telling me to stop breathing, and we can't let that happen,"
He didn't reply and I wasn't expecting him to, but that's when we started digging through the trash for banana peels.
Needless to say, my plan was awesome in so many ways.
---
So far, we had gotten eight banana peels, which wasn't even close to what I wanted. Rest of the trash was just soda cans and all the junk-food kind of stuff.
Keith pulled away from the trash can and sighed, "I can't find any of them anymore, it's useless now,"
I frowned, "Well, why don't you eat a lot of bananas? Your trash doesn't have them, so it's your fault,"
He didn't bother arguing, I guess he finally found out that it was pointless arguing with me, I always won. "So, what now?"
I thought about it for a moment, "Want to eat some bananas?"
His answer came quick, "No,"
Then there was only one other way.
I shrugged, "Well then, you asked for it,"
He gave me a wary look, "What now...?"
I smirked evilly, "Follow me,"
He looked scared this time.
