Y/n looked around curiously. It appeared that everything was covered in snow - strange for a place underneath the ground. A shining, circular object in a snow-covered bush caught her eye. As she moved towards, it became clear that someone had hidden a camera in there.

She walked along anyway, looking around all the leafless trees, and the darkness beyond them. As she strode along carelessly, a branch she had stepped over snapped behind her. Y/n's head turned and she stared at the branch briefly, before shrugging it off and moving forward. Suddenly, she heard a thump, as if someone had moved behind her. She stopped and checked, but there was nothing, not even a footprint in the (now) dusty snow.

Eventually, Y/n reached a bridge, with wooden bars. They were big enough to just walk through. She was just about to move through them, when loud footsteps started echoing around. Y/n froze where she was, but kept her back to the sound. Slowly, they became louder and louder, until she felt a presence behind her.

"Human...." It growled. Y/n turned around, and the shadowed figure outstretched a hand towards her. She raised an eyebrow and took it. The hand felt surprisingly bony, and she was about to comment about it when a loud farting sound came from the hand. Randomly, the shadow disappeared, revealing a short skeleton with a blue fur hoodie on, and pink house slippers.

"heheh...the old whoopee cushion in the hand trick. it's ALWAYS funny ..." He shifted awkwardly, "that's uh.. your cue to laugh. or, uh, to emote at all...?" He looked at her, but she continued wearing a straight face.

"gee, lady, you really know how to pick 'em, huh. OK that's fine. everyone's got their own sense of humor. i'm sans. sans the skeleton." He paused, as if waiting for her to tell him her name, but she stayed silent, so he continued his speech,

" i'm actually supposed to be on the watch for humans right now. but.... y'know.... i don't really care about capturing anybody. now my brother, papyrus.. he's a human-hunting FANATIC. hey, actually, I think that's him over there. i have an idea. go through this gate thingy."

Y/n started walking through, but looked back at him in case he started to attack her.

"yeah," he encouraged her, "go right through. my bro made the bars too wide to stop anyone. quick, behind that conveniently-shaped lamp."

But she stayed where she was, with her arms crossed over her chest impatiently.

"... uh, ok, i guess you don't have to.

Suddenly, a tall, thin skeleton ran towards Sans.

"SANS!!! HAVE YOU FOUND A HUMAN YET!??!" he yelled loudly.

"yeah" Sans nodded towards her.

"REALLY!??!" Papyrus cheered, "WOWIE!!! GUESS THAT'S SETTLED!!" He then proceeded to rush off again.

Y/n turned towards Sans and scowled at him. He just smiled like he usually did, "that worked out, huh?"

She just groaned and started to stomp off, when Sans called out to her,

"well, i'll be straight-forward with you. my brother'd really like to see a human... so, y'know, it'd really help me out... if you kept pretending to be one." he disappeared somewhere, but Y/n had the feeling he was still watching her.

Y/n strode forward. As she moved forward, she noticed another yellow star, and decided to tap it, like she'd done all the other times.

16 LEFT

That was new. Y/n waited until it had disappeared.

Ruins - Home

  ♡ Save      Return

Y/n tapped on 'Save' and strode towards the box, when, once again, her f/c soul was pulled into battle. She pulled her knife from her sleeve, and looked at the monster. A Snowdrake. Charging at it, Y/n sliced at the chest, but it dodged and cut across the side of its face, halving the heath bar above it. The Snowdrake murmured something, and launched crescents made of ice at her. She dodged expertly and dove forward, slicing his chest and killing him.

'YOU WON!' A notice flashed up. Y/n smiled knowingly as she picked up the dust and let it scatter to the wind.

'You earned 22 XP and 18 gold' She grabbed the gold materializing in front of her and stuffed it in the rucksack. She walked around, reaping the monsters that were walking around carelessly in various places, meaning she'd backtracked an awful lot, before walking froward, and coming across the skeleton brothers talking.

"SO SANS! WHEN'S THE HUMAN SHOWING UP??? I WANT TO LOOK MY SUNDAY BEST! OR AT LEAST MY TUESDAY PRETTY-GOOD!"

"don't you only have one outfit?"

"YEAH, BUT I COULD STYLE MY HAIR!"

"oh. right. good idea. say, why don't you look over there?" Sans asked, gesturing towards her. Papyrus turned towards her, before turning back to look at his brother. Sans grinned, and started turning as well, to mimic him. The speed of them turning increased little by little, until it seemed like they were both just spinning around in circles.

Suddenly, they stopped, facing away from Y/n.

"SANS!!! OH MY GOD!!!! I'M DIZZY. WHAT AM I LOOKING AT?"

"behold-" Sans grinned, and they both turned to look at her again.

"OH MY GOD!!!" Papyrus yelled loudly, "WHY ARE YOU TELLING ME TO LOOK AT A ROCK!???!"

"hey, what's in front of the rock?"

"OH MY GOD!!! I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THAT IS!!"

"well, it's not a rock."

"NOT A ROCK...? OH NO!!! BY PROCESS OF ELIMINATION...!!! THAT MEANS IT'S A HUMAN!!!" He shrieked loudly, sounding kind of like a fangirl.

"AHEM!! HUMAN!!" Papyrus announced, "PREPARE YOURSELF!!!! FOR HIGH JINKS! FOR LOW JINKS! DANGERS! PUZZLES! CAPERS! JAPERS! BEING CAPTURED!! AND OTHER SORTS OF FUN ACTIVITIES! REFRESHMENTS WILL BE PROVIDED! IF YOU DARE! NYEH HEH HEH HEH HEH HEH HEH HEH!!!" And on that note, he ran away, probably to prepare some kinds of puzzles.

Sans looked at her, "and you don't even bat an eye, huh?" before walking off somewhere.

As Y/n walked forward, she noticed an empty post with a sign on, and decided not to read it. She moved forward, with a knife in her hand, ready to fight anyone or anything that got in her way.

Hey, so I'm trying to write chapters of about 1000 words each, so this book'll be updated a lot. Just a warning I guess
