How I miss my best friend, Harold. We talked last night for almost 4 hours. Madaling araw na kami natulog. Ang dami namin pinagusapan. Umuwi siya dito sa Pilipinas dahil may mga new investors siya na dapat aasikasuhin, at the same time pinlano niya talaga na around this month for my debut. Last na nakita ko siya bata palang kami, 8 years old palang ata kami non. And now were both already grown ups.
I just did my usual school morning routine, and then I go downstairs to eat my breakfast. I saw Harold on the kitchen, preparing my pancake.
"Good morning Sofiya!"
"Hi. Good morning din. Bat ang aga mo nagising, may jetlag kapa niyan diba?"
"No it's okay. Anything for you."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes of course! I really miss you Sofiya." He said.
Lumapit siya saakin at niyakap ako.
"Oh this is for you pala." Sabi niya at kinuha yung bouquet ng flower sa may counter
"Thank you Harold. I miss you too!" Then I hugged him
"So, you should eat your breakfast na para maihatid na kita sa school."
"No I can manage. Magpahinga ka nalang, I will drive my own car. You should rest."
"I insist. You sit here and eat your breakfast at ihahatid kita sa school."
"You sure?"
"Definitely."
"Hmm okay."
Umupo na ako at sinerve niya saakin yung pancake with butter.
"Uhm, If you don't mind can I remove the butter? Ayoko kasi yung butter sa pancake eh." Sabi ko. I don't why kung bakit ayoko yung butter sa pancake ko.
"Sure. Let me remove it." sabi niya tapos tinanggal niya.
"Thanks."
"Here is your favorite syrup which is chocolate."
"Uhm.. I d-don't like putting chocolate syrup."
"What? Since then when we eat pancakes you always love to put butter and a chocolate syrup on top. You've changed huh?" sabi niya na natatawa.
"Hoy hindi ah!" Sabi ko at tumayo at nagpunta sa ref para kunin ang cinnamon and maple syrup.
"These are my favorite. Nilalagay ko silang pareho sa pancake ko."
"You've totally changed. You hate maple syrup back then Sofiya." Sabi niya tapos tumatawa siya.
"I guess I've changed when it comes to pancake syrups." sabi ko at tumawa kaming dalawa.
