Chapter 5

Alex POV

I woke up with bright white lights shining in my eyes

I sat up squinting as I tried to get used to the bright light

I looked down to see needles were in my arm and were connected to blood bags

my wrists were wrapped up and I could see small spots of blood still soaking through

I remembered everything that had happened the pills, the water, Axel

my eyes started to water when a doctor came in

" hello my name is doctor Jodey" he said smiling

he was young and looked like an intern. He had blonde shaggy hair with piercing blue eyes he wasn't to bad looking to be honest

He looked at his clipboard going through the papers

" we had to pump your stomach and put you on antibiotics so you'll be feeling very queasy so i advise you stay in bed and rest you'll be here a while " he smiled

"How long I a while" i said

"Alex you tried to kill yourself we have to keep an eye on you it's just policy I'm sorry" he said before walking out

I looked around the room and saw Axel's sleeping figure in a chair

I got up feeling sick to my stomach from the pills I stepped slowly trying to be as quiet as I could

I wanted to get as far away from that monster as possible I fell to my knees gagging

then got up walking to the door with all my strength I peeked out to see if any doctors were coming

once I knew the coast was clear i ran to the elevator and went down looking around

¨ I wonder where all the doctors are¨ I thought to myself

I ran past reception and out the doors my legs still a bit shaky

¨hey ¨ the woman yelled behind me

¨ excuse me where do you think youre going ¨ she yelled again

I could see people running after me I picked up the pace

I ran as fast as I could I looked up to the window and saw axel looking out the window looking furious

I knew I was in for it if I knew if I run he can find me he'll just track my scent

but I ran faster and faster down a road into the woods the shouting of doctors fading away behind me

I stopped in the middle of the forest sliding down a tree and sitting on the ground. I felt sick to my stomach my wrist throbbed in pain.

I heard a tree branch snap ¨ oh no Axel ¨ my mind raced with the thoughts of what he would do to me

I got up and ran I didn't know where I was going nor did I look back I ran for my life

then I was tackled and I was punched in the face two times

I felt a warm gooey liquid come from my mouth and nose

They got off and started kicking me I felt my fragile body break with every kick I cried as the pain got worse

then it stopped my vision started to go blurry and I saw a shadow kneel down next to me

¨this is for what you've done to him¨ that voice i've heard it before but i didn't have time to think about it before i blacked out .
