"I'm sorry Lei. I just realized."

"What?"

"I want to stay here. I want to be with him. I can't leave Mark, Lei."

He freezes, just staring at me with his mouth open. Tears are slowly welling up in his eyes. "Do you love him?"

Do I love him? Maybe not yet. I like him enough to want to continue this relationship with him. "I don't know yet."

"What about me? Don't you love me anymore?" He's not hiding his tears now. He lets them flow and I suddenly feel sorry for him.

"I'm sorry Lei. Us...You and me...we're over. It's been over since we parted ways."

"But...but you kissed me back. And you came to the airport. That must've meant something." He takes my hand and pulls me in for another hug. "Please, Jess. Please...don't leave me."

I push him again gently, this time taking a few steps back. "I'm sorry for giving you false hope. I didn't mean to. I was confused. But now, everything is so clear. I want to stay here with him. I want to continue the business. I'm going to take my dad's company back."

He doesn't talk back. He just studies me. Then he walks towards the door, his brows furrowed. "I hope you don't regret this, Jessica." He says before shutting the door behind him.

I'm sorry, Lei. I really am.

Mark

I admit, I was about to flip when she came late. But, how she showed herself to my parents today, I'm proud to call her my girlfriend. The way she said she likes me in front of them and how she described what she likes about me just melted my heart. I didn't know she could be that cheesy, but hey, who's complaining? Not me.

My parents obviously are fond of her. The way they look at her and listen attentively to what she says tells me she's got their approval.

I was supposed to announce to the entire country about her, but she didn't seem to like the idea of going out in public just yet. Although a bit disappointed, I have to respect what she wants. I know privacy would be a big issue after everybody knows her.

After the program, I receive a text from her. 'I'll make dinner.' A smile creeps in my face. It's the first time she's preparing something for me.

"Hyung, what's with that creepy face," Yugyeom says, looking scared at my expression.

"Nothing!" I chuckle, replying to her message. 'Be there in a few.'

"It's Noona again, isn't it?"

"So, are you coming with us? We're going out for dinner then maybe to a club to relax. The boss gave us a rest day tomorrow in exchange for yesterday." JB is saying.

"NO, thanks." I smile. "Meet you back in the dorm," I tell them before hailing a taxi.

I don't know what got into her, but she literally jumps to me when I enter her apartment and plants kisses all over my face.

"Hey, hey, hey! Ok. That's enough," I slowly put her down, her arms are still around my neck. "What's up with you?" I ask, snaking my arms around her waist.

"Nothing. Just want to thank you for letting me meet your parents. They're just wonderful." It's the first time I see her this excited, I like it. "Come on before the food gets cold." She pulls me to the dining room where the table is already set for two.

"Wow! You made all these? I didn't know you could cook." I can't imagine how she's prepared all these in a short period of time. I am about to ask her if she really did make it, but I see the pots and some used utensils on the sink...that just answers my question.

"I double majored in culinary, Mark. Of course I cook." She smiles proudly.

I take my first bite of everything with her watching me nervously. She's no joke. I fill up my plate without saying a word.

"So?" She's leaning on the table and waiting for me to give her an answer.

I shrug my shoulders, "Yeah...it's ok!" I give her a straight face and go back to my food. Which, I might add, I'm enjoying.

I watch her expression turn from excitement to disappointment then annoyance. "Give me that," she pulls the plate in front of me, but I hold on to it.

"Hey!"

"Since it's not good, you might as well just order," she scoffs.

"I was kidding," I laugh. She still frowns. "Hey," I take her hand. "It's really good. I love it. I was just kidding you."

She then smiles and hit my hand. "Ish...Mark Tuan."

"You look cute when you're grumpy." I laugh at her.

"So, you plan to make me angry just so I could be cute?"

"Not every time. Maybe sometimes," I tease her more.

"Just you see, Mark. I'm never gonna cook for you ever again," she rolls her eyes and dig in her food.

"Babe," I don't think I would want to miss her cooking, it's just that good. I go beside her and massage her shoulders. "I so love it."

"Then you better wash the dishes then," she says laughing.

"Ow!" I pretend to clutch my hand. "I think I hurt myself earlier."

"Mark Tuan!" She yells, but giggles at the same time.

I lunge in for the attack, tickling her sides and her neck, making her lie on the floor.

I go on top of her and pin her arms at the sides with my legs, and continue with the torture.

"Mark, Stop! Ok. You win. Stop!" She says between laughter.

I think she's had too much since tears are now coming out of her eyes. I wipe them with my thumbs as I lean closer. Her eyes are staring back at me, and her cheeks are flashed from laughing.

How can I be so lucky to get this girl? I swear I'll make her time with me worth it. I bend down until our lips are touching.

"Mark," she whispers in my mouth.

"Hm?"

"I meant every word I said earlier to your parents. I just hope you know that."

"I know, babe. I love you!" Our eyes close as our lips move together. Dinner forgotten, I lift her from the floor and carry her to the room without breaking the kiss.
