On August 15, 1977 a radio signal was detected by Jerry R. Ehman. He was working on a a SETI project at the Big Ear radio telescope of the Ohio State University.
He was working when suddenly a strong signal came from what seems to be coming from the northwest of the global cluster of M55 in the constellation Sagittarius. Near the Chi Sagittarii star group.
Now the signal lasted for a good minute and 12 seconds. Now the radio was able to pick this up but not again, for this was the only signal they got from that exact spot and this is the reason why astronomers are so baffled. This signal was located in one of the most deserted parts of space and by that I mean there are very little stars in that area and for astronomers to find a signal that strong in such an empty space would only mean that there are extraterrestrial beings that have a vessel in which could create that signal..
Its funny to think that there are more than just us with probably more advanced things with a thirst for blood or peace. We are never alone in the ever spreading universe..
