"Child, why are you so upset?" The goat lady asked.

This lady had come and was telling me to leave the ruins. I sat in the corner curled up in a ball as far away from her as I could, at the end of the hallway beside Mom's room.

"Mom told me not to leave the ruins." I said rocking back and forth.

"But the barrier is broken now. You're not in danger. We can go to the surface." The monster pleaded with me.

"But, Mom said not to leave the ruins. I'm the good child I would never disobey Mom." I replied with a shaky voice. This women wanted me to disobey Mom.

"Child, I don't understand. I am your mom." She told me, clearly a lie.

"No, my mom would say 'my child.'" I said slowly getting up. "Besides, I don't think Mom would be happy with what I did when she was gone."

The monster gasped when she sees me fully in the light. I looked over at the mirror to see a girl with long unkempt black hair and dark brown eyes swollen from crying. Her clothes were covered in chalky white dust. Oh wait, that's me.

"What did you do." Toriel screeched.

"What do you think 'mother'." I start the word out like poison.

"Why?"

"Because you broke your promise."
