There was this girl name Karen at my new school
She was Jamaican and kind of emo
Before I met her I met this other kid
I forgot his name.
But both of them liked me
I had gym with both of them, and everyday they pursued me
What won me over was at the eighth grade prom when I saw Karen and how amazing she looked
Before this my interest in girls had already piqued
I had as always talked to my guy friends about it and my one lesbian friend who had a crush on my mom
So after the prom, I officially had a girlfriend
Only people who knew, knew.
Including the guy, who kept suggesting that they shared me
It was strange.
I was only at that school for the last month of school
So, Karen and I didn't last very long
I broke up with her and she posted this picture of her looking really sad online and tagged me in it
An empty apology was all I gave her
